Bengals/Vikings Second Half Thread

Well, after a scoreless first quarter, things got interested in the second for the Bengals and Vikings.

Minnesota opened the scoring with a 41-yard Ryan Longwell field goal to make it 3-0, and soon after Favre found Sidney Rice for a 9-yard touchdown strike to make it 10-0.

The Bengals answered immediately with an 82-yard drive that ended in a 15-yard touchdown pass from Carson Palmer to Chad Ochocinco to make it 10-7.  The Vikings then tacked on another Longwell field goal, this one from 23 yards out, to make it 13-7.

Then, as the Bengals were attempting to run out the clock, Antoine Winfield. . .who has been a beast today. . .forced Brian Leonard to fumble, and the Vikings got a third field goal from Longwell, a 44-yarder, to make it 16-7 as we went to the locker room.

The second half action is right here, folks!

Why Do People Question The Vikings' Status?

Matt Schaub

Has 336 yards. . .AT HALFTIME. . .as the Texans are crushing the Seahawks.

That’s ridiculous.

Of course we're rooting for the Bears.

We should root for them twice a year, and this week is one of those times.

Bears defensive line

Was not good for stopping the run..

That's why I was hoping for a big game from AD vs. the Bears

But his performance wasn’t as well as I would of expected

by Deek on Dec 13, 2009 1:48 PM CST up reply actions

They've been extremely lucky

Falcons need this for any hope of playoffs

Saints have the Cowboys next week… Only true remaining game they have left that should be a good challenge.

Bengals did us a huge favor!!

They went 3-1 in our division!!!! Been nice to see AP go over 100, but since Ced didn’t either, I’ll take it!!!!!

WooHoo!!!

Still have a 2-game lead over the Packers

Packers have Steelers up next – Still have to play the AZ Cardinals as well.
(The two teams that we lost too…)

Injury status...

Didn’t really see any Vikings players hurt against an aggressive defense of the Bengals.
That’s a big plus… Bengals looked to be a little banged up.

Next game – hope Harvin is back
Nice to have Winfield back…

Defense is rocking
Brinkley had some good hits
Secondary covered well

Great game
