Let Them Go Undefeated-My Viking Dream Scheme
I will go back to a "Kinder and Gentler Citrus" :-)
Two undefeated teams for the 1st time in NFL history. It has come down to the NFC title game between the Saints and Vikings. The table has been set for a Saints/Colts Superbowl. Our Vikings head to New Orleans to face the favored Saints and knock them off on some last quarter heroics-by any Viking, I don't care. Vikings win and eliminate the undefeated Saints. Colts win the AFC
We all head to our Super Bowl Parties. Me, I'll be down there in Miami even if I have to watch at some fancy sports establishment. Some of you may actually go to the game. Our Vikings have had enough of the history lesson and proceed to dismantle Manning and Co.
What do the Vikings accomplish? Their first Super Bowl and the only team in NFL history to stop 2 perfect seasons in the same year. Would that be the best?
I am sure the old undefeated Dolphins gang would certainly pay homage to an the adversary they beat when i was younger in one of the big ones. Stuff dreams are made of. Rumor has it that Dolphin group would send a case of the finest champagne to the team that stops a perfest season. They may owe our boy's 2 cases.
Like our friend said "The sky has not fallen". Our Vikings could do something incredible. I hope it goes down that way.

On Board 99%
I’ve been thinking the same scenario, except I could go without the last minute heroics winning against the Saints. I’d rather dismantle both them and the Colts the way we did the Bengals.
Leave no doubt!
GO VIKES!!!!!!!
Now THAT
would be frickin sweet

First Round Bye Obiviously
Then…
Packers vs Vikings
Vikings vs Undefeated Saints (NFC Championship)
Vikings over Undefeated Colts (Superbowl)
If such a run didn’t earn them a new stadium, it certainly would prove that there is something terribly wrong with Minnesota Nice.
If all else fails, the Vikings could move to Virginia
That wouldn’t be so bad :)
Ah, ah,

From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.

To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
SKOL!
That would be great I could go to the games then :)
Actually screw that I want them in Minny.
Actually screw that I want them in Minny.
I used to be on that train of thought too. Not so certain now.
After seeing how many Minnesotan ‘fans’ aren’t interested in (or willing to) supporting the Vikings with a new stadium, and the freak-show they call ‘politics’ in Minnesota, I’m not sure they deserve a team like the Vikings. Does Minnesota still possess the testicular fortitude to be associated with a team who’s name is synonymous with brutal brawn and ruthless raiding? Or has it become the land of sunshine and lollipops, of latte-drinking prancers who think football is too violent for their children’s delicate sensibilities?
Stay tuned, sports fans, we shall see soon enough. :)
I definitely agree that California is a bad idea though. That’d be like going from the frying pan into the fire.

Maybe
From what I understand, Richmond has been lobbying for an NFL franchise, so why not? Most guys up here are Washington Redskins fans, and really, that needs to end sooner or later, lol.
Before the Panthers came on, the Carolinas were split between being Redskins, Falcons, and Dolphins fans for the NFL, but most of their football fever went to the college teams. Thats probably slowly changing. Something similar will have to happen in VA, folks love sports and they love football. If the NFL doesn’t provide it, they’ll go elsewhere.

Just having some fun with y'all
Good luck for the rest of your season, until you arrive in the Big Easy, then the glues are off. Merry Christmas from down south. Who Dat!!!

Since we are dreaming....
I LIKE that dream with the added spice of a GB faceoff added in (and of course Vikes prevail!)….
Now for Sunday…..Carolina will act as a spoiler, so we must focus and get past them in style….actually do not care if style is involved, smash mouth is OK too!
Prediction for that game? Vikes win by 2 TDs (same prediction I made for Cinci game, I know….but hey, our boys came through right?)…
Is it Sunday yet LOL?
I am filling my week looking at some of the older Viking games from decades past….a fond and not so fond trek down memory lane….
GO VIKINGS!!!!

Nice Scenario
I thought of this earlier with the Vikings taking on two undefeated teams like this. Adding the GB playoff game would also be sweet! That would definately add to an epic Season for Favre. Look at it for him this way, to go and beat the Packers 3 times in 1 year, than go on to beat an undefeated team in a NFC championship. Than go down to Miami and beat another undefeated team. I think Favre would retire for sure than, but it would be well-worth it. I would rather him not retire, and that dream may not lay out the way we would like it.
Here is the likely scenario which is most realistic. Wild Card Games between AZ Cardinals Vs. NY Giants (Cards Win) & Phillie Eagles Vs. GB Packers (Pack wins)
Vikings play Cards (re-match at home and Vikings win) GB heads to NO to take on Saints (GB pulls off a high-scoring tight game) — Now GB is hyped up, feeling good since they beat out the Saints. Leaving the NFC game Vikings vs. Packers at the Dome!! Favre has an awesome game, the O-line of the Pack folds, score prediction 38-21.. Vikings go onto Superbowl.
I would predict they either play the Chargers or the Colts.
Bronco’s & Bengals don’t have enough offense to keep up with the teams. Chargers are good in December, so I predict that’ll lead into Jan. as well.
Cowboys have a poor history of December games & will likely lose out of the playoffs. (Unless they Beat the Saints?) Could it happen? Yes, as I will still be rooting the Cowboys on.. But, in a way, I would rather the NO Saints go undefeated all season and go 1 & out. I think that would be too funny… Should of not won those lucky games I would think to myself, as they bit you in the end as your luck ran out.
And Len Dawson hands the Lombardi Trophy to Brad Childress
OK. That was nice.
Let’s just focus on beating the Panthers.
What would his reaction be
We’ve seen how a stoic coach like Bilicek (sp?) handled the trophy. But, man, can you imagine the diatribes Childress would spew with that in his hand? He’d probably start making some analogy to Egyptian pharohs, golden skyscrapers, and Bill Nye the Science Guy.
HAHA
Are you poking fun at his Nascar Analogy??
I honestly hope you guys make it there.
I also hope the Colts don’t make it that far but if I had to take any team to win the Super Bowl other than my Dolphins, who are struggling to even make the playoffs, I’d take the Vikings. Although R4F would tell me to “eat crow,” I’ve jumped on the Favre bandwagon this year and really hope he wins his second Super Bowl so in that respect, Go Vikings and Go Favre.

Hey DIB
What’s up? Gotta be happy with that “washed up” Heisman RB of yours. He sure made some folks eat crow this year.
I’ll take a Phins/Vikings Super Bowl. I just wouldn’t want to be in the crowd. Some of that Miami crowd can get as ugly to opposing fans as Eagles fans. But a great place to watch a game. They are true die hard fans, unlike Tampa and Jax bandwagoners.
Well I don't think we will make it that far but I wouldn't like that Super Bowl
because I would want both teams to win, just the Dolphins slightly more than the Vikings. Ricky has been pretty solid for us after Ronnie went down, and I’m glad he has shown up to play. I’ve never been to a game in Miami so I don’t know how bad we are, but I’ve experienced Bills fans and that was pretty bad.
Don't question my fandominium.

And as you are aware I am a very
sarcastic person. Just to point something out. You said the Vikings would be the first team to end 2 perfect season runs.
All you have to do to do that is: win your first week, and beat a 1-0/2-0/3-0 team in the next coming weeks.
Soory but I had to say it. ;)
Anyway great post thougH!
