I have to say something......

First of all I am an eternal optimist.  I always believe we can win the Super bowl...BUT....After the 1998 season I came to a realization that the Vikings are only ever going to be good enough to break my heart.  Before all of you start destroying me I want all of you to know that I still think we have a fantastic chance of going to Miami.  As a matter of fact the way this team has played in the past three weeks is exactly the character of the Vikings that I know and love.  Which is why I think we are closer now to going than we were 3 weeks ago.  Regardless of their record the Vikings will always be the dark horse and play better when they are the underdog.  I was just as pissed at their performance last week as most of you, but there is always the quiet little voice in the back of my head saying "you are crazy to expect any thing else from this group"  Just when I think my beloved purple has turned the corner and might become a popular "America's type team" they lay an extraordinarily large turd that reminds me why I love them.

Let the bashing begin....

Go VIKES

1998

The season to remember. Forget the 4 SB losses, in 1998 we are the real deal.

Just the same I would rather love my purple this year than be a Giant, Steeler, Bronco, or other fan who have watched 5 or more losses in a short stretch. Just get me to the playoffs and let the fun begin.

Yes,,,,,

98 was a great year until the end…and yes we were the real deal….his year we will go in as underdogs, no doubt, the darkhorses, since no-one is sure which team will show up….

Like you I will be there, and DEFINITELY in purple for the fun, one game or three…..Have completely calmed down finally (this last three days was as bad as a migraine for kriminy sakes – ooof)….

Let’s hope they go into Monday night ready to play some good football!! Again a national stage, sure they will show us all why they are 11-3…..

I would rather be IN the Arena than watching from the stands...That is my life!

The savior has come, and he won't let you down.

GUARANTEED!

Brett Favre is the Greatest QB in NFL History, and Favre will lead the Vikings to Victory in Super Bowl XLIV!

this is

still hilarious to me. Favre is not the best QB ever, and the Vikes will not win it all this year.

Payton Manning, Tom Brady, John Elway, Dan Marino.

well

if you agree that there is at least one QB (in your case montana), then my point is proven: favre not the best qb of all time.

by tuckerbjt on Dec 23, 2009 2:52 PM CST up reply actions

yep but then R4F is just something you have to get used to

It used to irritate but after a while I saw the humor.

by Grime on Dec 23, 2009 3:14 PM CST up reply actions

Wrong!

Because R4F says so. How do you know we won’t win it all anyway?

by KC612 on Dec 23, 2009 1:49 PM CST reply actions

i agree

although i was 6 ini 1998
i remember the arizona game that we lost on the last play
or the 2000 stinker vs the g-men

this team always seems to kill right when u believe
but this year will be different

HaHa

for the past 14 years i’ve watched this team and have enjoyed all 14 of them in one way or another. Its almost seems like in every madden game if you chose the Vikings, you were playing a lesser opponent on the sticks, so he had a fighting edge. I do like the under-dog feel of the Vikings. They’ll prove you wrong. But follow it up with a great dissapointment. Sounds like my life..I guess thats why we mesh so well. =}

Queens

Some times I think all Viking fans just love ridicule. Football life would be much easier if we followed another team. But that goes against our Minnesota natures

Overrated

Favre is an overrated QB with an inflated opinion of himself. The Packers were wise to trade him away.

R4F

R4F you always bring a smile to my face! Thanks and

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!

Sometimes

both teams win when a player leaves. As much as I love the passion RF4 has for Brett it does seem to me that GB has helped their future by going with the young guy and the Vikes were rewarded with helping their present season by picking up Brett. All I know for sure is:

Brett Favre is the Greatest QB in NFL History, and Favre will lead the Vikings to Victory in Super Bowl XLIV!

Merry Christmas RF4

No Problem!

Favre will lead the Vikings to a Victory in Super Bowl XLIV!

i just wonder if R4F is Brett's wife in real life..
