Chandler Williams

Hey guys Tomahawk44 here. The Chiefs signed Chandler Williams to our practice squad today and I was wondering if you guys had any information on him. What ways could he be used or is he even good enough to work his way up to the active roster? I know he will probably just be a body in practice but I just wanted to get a view from one of his ex teams. So what do you guys think of  Williams? Im not sure how long he was even with the Vikings so thanks for any and all information guys!

Wow

The guy’s name didn’t ring a bell so had to Wiki him. We drafted in 2007 and cut after training camp that year. Judging from the traveling he has done since then, looking like nothing all that special so far. Only thing I can see why K.C. picked him up was perhaps insurance? Who knows but would highly doubt he amounts to anything.

Well

Troy Williamson beat him in training camp that year.

I don’t know anything about Chandler Williams, but I wish him well with the Chiefs.

as obscure as he was

it’s funny that nobody even remembers his name. He was drafted in the same round as Tyler Thigpen if memory serves me correct.

Hey Tomahawk

I swear, you spend more time on other blogs than you do at AP!

Still P.O.'d over Thigpen

Chilly releasing him and hoping to get him on the practice squad. I still think he would have done pretty good as a QB for us and may not have needed the Favre option. Oh well, Maybe Miami will cut ties and we get him back.

yeah

I wasnt happy when KC traded him I would of rather traded Brodie Croyle. Thiggy was much more mobile and he had heart.

Ouch

Did you really say that. Tyler Thigpen was not talented enough to break onto the Vikes squad. He wasn’t talented enough to keep KC from looking elsewhere and he is the 3rd stringer at Miami backing up essentially 2 rookies. I like him also but really he could lead this team like Farve has? He doesn’t look nearly as good as T-Jack and his starting record isn’t even close. Of all the things to be P.O.’d about this year I think you and I can move this one to the bottom of the list.
Happy Holidays
