Vikes All Decade Team
First off, Merry Christmas everyone!
Yes, this is a blatant rip off of Bob Sansavere's article in the Pioneer Press today, but I thought this would be a great discussion topic to see what other people think. Click the link for Sansavere's team, and rip me for mine in the comments, lol.
QB: Daunte Culpepper. I didn't like how he left town, but he put up decent numbers from 2000-2005, and 11 games by Favre doesn't supplant his body of work. Yet.RB: Adrian Peterson.
RB: Robert Smith. He retired after the 2000 season, but you can't ignore 1500 yards rushing.
WR: Randy Moss
WR: Cris Carter
TE: Jim Kleinsasser. Had some productive years, and has been with the team the entire decade. That counts for something, doesn't it? And with Carter and Moss, do we need a pass catching tight end?
LT: Bryant McKinnie
LG: Steve Hutchingson
C: Matt Birk
RG: David Dixon
RT: Korey Stringer. Had big K lived, I think he would've been an all time great. **Hangs head for moment of silence**
RDE: Jared Allen
DT: Kevin Williams
DT: Pat Williams
LDE: Ray Edwards
OLB: Chad Greenway
MLB: EJ Henderson
OLB: Ben Leber
CB: Antoine Winfield
CB: Brian Williams
KR: Percy Harvin
PR: Mewelde Moore
P: Mitch Berger
Just looking back at some old rosters, there was really a dearth of talent on defense from 2001-2005, which reflects in most of the defense guys are from 2006 on. I mean, with Robert Tate, Wasswa Serwanga, Kenny Mixon, Henri Crockett, Dwayne Rudd, Brian Russell, Robert Tate and a way over the hill Greg Biekert, how did the Vikings stop anyone? Wow, there were some really bad players on defense. John Burrough? Really? And I was excited about his signing...
Anyways, I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas. Now quit reading this and go be with your family.

Long snapper
I guess that is a toss-up between Mike Morris and Cullen Loeffler.

What?! Where's Tahi?!?! This is bugus, man!
:)
Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
SKOL!

There can be only so much greatness
Before they start to cancel each other out. Tahi would’ve been the tipping point.

Glad you have Sauser on there
He was a great full back, and really picked up his game when the coaches asked him to switch outside to be a TE..
Got to like that man.
