Around SBN: Kobe Bryant Isn't Up To Speed On Jeremy Lin, 'Linning'

"I feel like this is an attempt to divide the team. I’m here to tell you that it’s not going to happen. We know what our goal is. We know what we’re here for and we all have the same goal. Nothing has changed. This is just an attempt to divide the Minnesota Vikings and it won’t happen."

Sidney Rice, via Viking Update

I knew there was something I loved about this kid. Well, other than the great hands and the ridiculous catches and all.

Great to hear

That is exactly the way the team needs to look at it. Something like this can actually have a positive impact, if the team handles it the right way, as I talked about in a previous post with the ’07 Giants.

We’ll see how they respond Monday night.

Skol!

A good coach makes his team better, he doesn’t wait for a better team to make him look good.

Yeppers....

Hope the whole team like Rice uses this as leverage to show their stuff!

Let’s see!

I would rather be IN the Arena than watching from the stands...That is my life!

Sidney Rice comment

I agree with everyone here. This comment by Rice and the mentality that shows through the comment needs to spread throughout the entire team and they just need to go out and kick ass like they are capable of doing, and not listen to ANY of the hooplah that has been being spread about the whole Favre thing and just play their A-game. IF they play their A-game, there isn’t anyone that can stop that purple machine. They are Bad-Ass this year when they play to their potential. “Super- Bowl bound, baby!” Purple Reign!!!

Syd the Kid!

Has grown up. He has worked hard. People forget he is the same age as most Sr. that were drafted last Spring.
Now he is standing up and taking a public leaderhip role.
Bravo, Skol, Three Cheers and Hip-hip-horrah for Sid.
Some others need to speak out but he did!.
You go Sidney!

Days of our lives is at least better than general hospital.

was meant to...

…split up the fanbase too…

I BELIEVE...

Sounds great, but...

it raises one question;

Who is trying to divide the team?

Which in turn, leads to the next question;

Why?

Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
SKOL!

Round up the usual suspects

Everyone who has a grudge against Favre or does not want to face the Vikings at full strength during the playoffs trying to divide the team.

The latter group is fairly obvious in their movitation. (People want the Colts, the Saints, the Chargers, and the Eagles fail miserably as well and soon.)

As for the former group, if Favre is your chosen scapegoat (an epidemic still raging among two green teams and still trendy among those who get their attention by writing about Favre) you have to do everything in your power to defeat and denigrate him now; otherwise, your past rantings will be exposed as being utter crap and you’ll have to go into hiding. If the Vikings falter, Favre can be further implicated. It’s not Favre’s ego they dread, it’s having damage done to their own.
