Vikings/Bears Second Half Thread

Well, the game has started, even though I'm not sure the Vikings are aware of it.  Three Robbie Gould field goals and a 7-yard pass from Jay Cutler to Greg Olsen has made it 16-0 in favor of the Bears at the half.

The Vikings clearly don't care at this point, and I'm not sure why any of us should, either.

But hang out for the second half anyway, and see how creative we can get without sounding like an Andrew Dice Clay routine.

I can't remember when Ive been more embarrassed for a team I root for

the time the Twins had an outfield of Young/Cuddyer/Kubel is close, but that’s a story for a different day

41-0 Was Worse

Tonight, and three of the last four games, are bad.

41-0 was worse. That was a Vikings team that should have gone to the Super Bowl, and they didn’t even show up for the game.

I meant this was worse than that outfield :\

Refs Not to Blame

Some people in the earlier thread blamed the refs; I disagree.

The refs are letting both sides play, i.e. they aren’t calling much in terms of interference, roughing, etc.

The Vikings coaches and players are entirely to blame for this late-season collapse.

And, yeah, unless they turn it around in the second half, it is DEFINITELY a late-season collapse.

Apathetic is the perfect word to describe the teams play. They’re obviously content to make the playoffs, no matter what seed, and lose in the first round like they always do. Ugh.

And it looks like all the over-blown optimism was as off-base as our playoff chances are at this point. LOL

Even if we miraculously changed course here and won somehow, this is an even worse warning sign than the last 2 losses. Ouch.

But honestly, at least I know that my Vikes never change, really. They just wear disguises for a while. Heh.

what about brett fav-ruh?

I piss people off on a fairly regular basis. I cherish my right to speak my mind, whether I sound like an uneducated savage or not. I've never been accused of keeping what I think a secret, nor will I ever. Don't like it? I don't care.

Favre w/ the COMEBACK!!

Favre…. When he was a Packer, I dreaded the Vikings playing him when we had the lead. He was great in the 2 minute offense, and great with come-backs…

Let’s see that work in our favor.
