Vikings/Bears Second Half Thread
Well, the game has started, even though I'm not sure the Vikings are aware of it. Three Robbie Gould field goals and a 7-yard pass from Jay Cutler to Greg Olsen has made it 16-0 in favor of the Bears at the half.
The Vikings clearly don't care at this point, and I'm not sure why any of us should, either.
But hang out for the second half anyway, and see how creative we can get without sounding like an Andrew Dice Clay routine.

Baffling how so much talent can produce so little... and sad.
Oh and the slant that Favre missed so badly was 6 points if it was anything close to catchable…
I can't remember when Ive been more embarrassed for a team I root for
the time the Twins had an outfield of Young/Cuddyer/Kubel is close, but that’s a story for a different day
This is worse.
Far worse.

41-0 Was Worse
Tonight, and three of the last four games, are bad.
41-0 was worse. That was a Vikings team that should have gone to the Super Bowl, and they didn’t even show up for the game.

I meant this was worse than that outfield :\

Refs Not to Blame
Some people in the earlier thread blamed the refs; I disagree.
The refs are letting both sides play, i.e. they aren’t calling much in terms of interference, roughing, etc.
The Vikings coaches and players are entirely to blame for this late-season collapse.
And, yeah, unless they turn it around in the second half, it is DEFINITELY a late-season collapse.

More of the same so far. I’d love to see an old-fashioned comeback here – I’ve not really seen a big comeback victory on live TV, from my Vikings I don’t think ever.
Sigh.
Let it die bro. The real answer is because they rarely, if ever, change their performance in mid-stride. That’s why they’re frustrating to watch. You can tell how they’re going to do by the first 20-25 minutes or so. They seem incapable of improving or changing their fortunes on the fly, like genuinely good teams do.

Still a chance if we tighten up
But wow, even if we pull out a comeback win, how can any Viking fan feel good about this performance? Yikes. :( Still, let’s at least start with a win here – we can figure the rest out later.
A win is a win.
It may be ugly, but it’s better than seeing them lose. I mean…isn’t it?
