Vikings/Bears Fourth Quarter Thread

Yeah, I think we're going to need a separate thread for the last quarter.

The Bears still lead by 10, but the Vikings have just intercepted Jay Cutler and are in Bear territory with 2nd and 5 from the Chicago 48.

Let's do this thing!

Now that's a great catch

I think they’re starting to believe. I hope we can pull this off – our Vikes will learn a lot about themselves if they can somehow turn it around like this. We gotta get this night-game, grass field monkey off our backs. Geez.

by Wytefang on Dec 28, 2009 10:00 PM CST reply actions

Need to get this TD pretty quickly

then stuff ‘em and take the lead and shut them out the rest of the way. I’d LOVE to see us sweep our entire division (who wouldn’t, of course)…I’ve never seen it happen.

If you math it out though...

you figure if we take 3-4 minutes to get a TD here, that leaves them 6 minutes. They waste another 2-3 minutes getting stuff by us (hopefully). Leaves us 3 minutes to try and win. Hope it all times out right. Sometimes it all just comes down to the rhythm and timing of how the scoring happens. Ugh. Too nervous.

P.S.

Santa, when you head back to the North Pole, can you please take with you whatever curse was placed upon the Vikings 50 years ago.

The Colorado Rockies aren't a team, they're an armada.

Hmmm

I personally don’t believe in curses but I am amazed at the creative ways our team keeps shooting themselves in the foot each year. Man it is always something.

Lets regroup and kick butt in the playoffs..heads up!

A Complete Effort

Everyone—special teams, offense, defense, coaches—contributed thier share to tonight’s loss.

Prior to his season-killing fumble, Peterson was one of the few Vikings (Chester Taylor, Rice, and Favre could say that too) who could claim they pulled their weight tonight.

So of course it was AD who killed the Vikings.

MEGA CHOKE

Well they found a way to do it……AGAIN! Let this be a sign, or should I say an omen. They will loose their first playoff game.
I was livid when they decided to go for the tie. Go for the win or loose with dignity.

Too bad these guys showed up for the first half

They kinda showed up for OT, too.

Pretty unfortunate.

AP catches the dump off pass in OT

Like always, instead of trotting out of bounds for a 10-15 yd gain……he pushes on for a couple extra and fumbles. I love his intensity, but he needs to go out of bounds!! Same thing earlier inthe game when he got whacked on the sideline. To have a long career as a RB, you gotta limit the shots you take. Emmitt was smart and ran those out of bounds. There’s always the next play.
