It is What it is
Been a Hell of a Season, hell of a year, and was one hell of a game tonite,am I bummed a bit,Yea a little. I wanted a different out come, but any given Sunday. At Halftime I sat and opened a beer, figured we was Boned, then it seemed as if Favre took over the Game in the 4th.Was a Hell of a comeback, makes me think Maybe.Makes me think Chilly, has been holding back, now could be just the Viking fan in me,and all that Purple Drink I do every weekend, and every Year.On that note my thoughts will follow.
Seemed to me for past 3 weeks the Vikes have been playing 3 stoodges(purple kool aide)why wasnt Harvin in that much, and it seemed like CT was playing more in the 1st half then the second. Our passing game clicked when it had to in the 4th,but didnt bring itself until then.Makes me feel like Chilly wants to play all the weeks without a Bye.
Harvin on returns, seemed to me to run into Defenders VS his run straight forward and follow blocks then cut.
Now all this is just my thoughts, and remember we aint out of the S.B. YET,just aint we aint got a home yet.Until the Fat Lady sings on the Season we have a chance, could be that Purple drink,or just the Die Hard Vike fan in me that believes.

I'm not sure I understand
Why some fans who want ot post their opinion of this game goes and creates a brand new thread for no reason.
Why ask Why
Been thru 4 Super Bowls with the Vikes, and I cant count how many should have been S.B. years.Did it to vent and not cuss during Game threads, did it because I wanted too.
Do you really need an answer as to why I wanted to post,I cant understand why Fans like you ask why.
Its posts
Like yours that made me leave the last blog I was at,to come here to the Daily Norseman, guess its time start looking again, hey Gonz, was great reading your thoughts, hug that Wife of yours ,have a Happy New Year, hope you get that grade up,ya prolly wont know till June, but GL to ya bud.
All I did was ask you a question
no reason to go have a hissy fit.
The only reason I can think of for you to have a hissy fit, is that you don’t have a good answer to my question.
p.s. the “I’m gonna take my ball and go home” act is beyond pathetic
I believe in my Vikings!
I will be at next weeks game, routing them to Victory!
It’s a journey, enjoy the winding road…………
It will lead you to Super Bowl XLIV and a Victory!
I GUARANTEE IT!
NO JOKE!
Let's see....
They started to show their stuff too late and the special teams and AD fumble did them in….
The Vikings have never chosen the easy road to follow (w exception of 98 and we know how THAT turned out)….
I will continue to follow of course and hope for the best regarding playoff seed….Does not really matter….
If they come out to play they can and will win…If not they won’t….Is sad to see them do this the hard way….again….
BUT will be there win lose or draw!
Seems you are same R4F….Good thing, not easy, and appreciated!
SKOL!
I would rather be IN the Arena than watching from the stands...That is my life!

Horrible ...
Man, another costly fumble by All Day. You either live with it, or you replace him with Taylor on passing downs. That final drive would have sealed the deal for the Vikings because the Bears simply could not stop the passing game WHEN Chilly decided to open things up.
I really cannot understand why guys like Chilly siimpy have to do it THEIR way regardless of how the game is transpiring. They should have spread it out from the start because let’s face it – the Vikings ground game is NOT going to cut it come playoff time. Smart coaches play to their strengths and the strenght is Brett Favre NOT All Day.
This is going to cost Minnesota dearly because now they are most assuredly going to be lose the first round bye which means more outdoor games and it also means we don’t get to play Green bay, one of two teams the Vikings can beat along with New Orleans. I simply don’t see them beating Philly at Philly with that defense and inconsistent running game. And Dallas? You never know with them and we all know what Arizona is all about matching up with Minnesota.
Just a real shame folks. The only thing I hope for now is that Brett stays on another year and somehow management can plug these awful holes in the secondary and find some O-lineman that can consistently run block.
Yep, fully agree
Peterson is just awful – obviously he’s a strong runner (at times) but these fumbles and particularly last night’s, which cost us the game, have to stop. It’s time to do what many are afraid to do and bench his lame arse. Chester deserves a shot at being our “go-to guy.” He has far better hands all around, rarely fumbles, and appears to get much larger chunks of yardage much more consistently.
The secondary is a lost cause as is the O-line. Unfortunately those two issues, along with Adrian Peterson’s ineptitude, will prevent us from winning a game in the playoffs.
Favre has been excellent, really, all season as have the Receivers (for the most part – still too many dropped balls at times but otherwise, they’ve been fine). But that’s been the only real bright spot as of late.
Nice to see that the special teams problems are back, too. Sigh.
Ya know wat, fuck you, fuck ya momma, and fuck ya family
Only real shame is they taught you to type, once again fuck ya and ya momma
