Brett Favre retiring...again.

Stop me if you've heard it before, but Brett Favre is retiring from the Jets.

This comes from ESPN, and a supposed email from Favre to Ed Werder. Favre says he plans to inform the Jets shortly of his impending retirement.

You can see it at the link here.

Hopefully, he'll stay retired.

More importantly, I hope he stays the hell away from the Vikings.

Great career and all that. I've always hated him, but had respect. These past few years really made me hate him more and have little to no respect for him. Good riddance to, as they say, bad rubbish.

Not Again...

I pick July 1 as the day Favre un-retires for the eight time, or whatever it is now. This aging diva can’t stay out of the limelight. As long as he doesn’t end up in Vikings purple next September, my interest in the ole Mississippi drama queen is done.

Just the beginning, again

I just posted an article about it—February sucks because it marks the beginning of the annual Favre Frenzy. Yuck.

I will believe Brett Favre will officially retire

We he is not taking the field in week 1 of next season.

Thank God

Now all we need is Matt Cassel to retire so all the continued wishful thinking can stop!

Just the first move of a long dance

that ends up with Favre in the arms of Darrell Bevell. He’ll do just what he did last year, and not file his retirement paperwork, which means the Jets will need to cut him. Once they cut him, he can go anywhere he wants to, and the Jets won’t owe the Packers anything.

Or they already have an agreement that Favre tells the Jets he’ll retire, then the Jets can go ahead and cut him right away to make that cap space available, and he’ll still be eligible to sign elsewhere.

You Are Probably Right

Favre won’t be retired until the season starts without him (as Tony_O stated) and you can’t help but believe with his past history that he’s going to leave the game quietly without getting back or one-upping the Packers for the perceived slight of him last year. Have a seat and enjoy the show…

Now, now...

According to Peter King’s latest Brett Favre blowj—I mean, article, Favre is going to stay in Mississippi and take up his new career as a “land baron”.

I mean, it’s not as if Favraro craves attention like Courtney Love craves heroin, or seeks revenge on Ted Thompson. Favre is just a humble, down-to-earth guy who wants to “disappear into his deerstand” and “work the land”, according to King.

Seriously, I just know this me-first dickwad is gonna wind up wearing # 4 for the Vikings next year. (bangs head against wall repeatedly) Gotta pad those all-time INT leader stats somewhere!
