Housh flying to Minneapolis
http://stripehype.com/2009/02/28/free-agency-day-1-dust-settles/
"Houshmandzadeh is now off to Minnesota."
It seems like it's down to us and New York (at least based on his list of teams he wants to play for). Seems like a good fit and despite rumors I do not think he would e out of our price range, especially with the apparent lack of interest.
Can anyone confirm he is on the way here?

This was in our Star Tribune:
Two days ago Cincinnati free-agent wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh talked about how much he would like to play for the Vikings. Well, it looks as if he will at least visit with the team and it could happen today.
Houshmandzadeh’s agent, Kennard McGuire, said in a text message that "the Vikings are in [Houshmandzadeh’s] plans," but gave no further details.
The Vikings have been trying to arrange a visit with Houshmandzadeh since Friday morning. He first made a stop in Seattle on Friday.
Houshmandzadeh, 31, is the top free-agent receiver on the market and has caught at least 90 passes in each of the past three seasons.
Houshmandzadeh was fourth in Pro Football Weekly’s rankings of the top 100 free agents. Last year, the Vikings signed Bernard Berrian to a six-year, $42 million deal that included a $16 million signing bonus.
Houshmandzadeh was asked during an ESPN interview Friday morning about teams that interested him. "I’m looking at teams I think have good coaches and good offensive lines and good running games," Houshmandzadeh said. "I have no idea if those teams are interested in me. If I can play with Adrian Peterson, can you imagine what I would do getting one-on-one coverage with Adrian Peterson? I am going to win 98.6 percent of the time with one-on-one coverage with him in the backfield."
Houshmandzadeh is reportedly looking for a deal of upward of $10 million per season.
It looks like we’re interested!
Skol Vikes 4 Life!
That's what I thought too.
Doesn’t seem like he’s been around that long.

Dear Adrian Peterson; please greet him at Winter Park or the Airport.

Ok Zigi
Let’s pull the trigger. He’s 31. Wants 10 mil. Let’s give it to him but not for more than 3 years and 4th year team option.

Sign the Housh!
Then if the BPA in the Draft could be…. just about anyone :)) . This just makes way too much sense for the Vikes, and a huge enticement for a vet QB as well.
Please, Spielman…. make this one happen.
Stadium lure
Tell him we could be the L.A*. Vikings in a few years. Then he will be a hometown hero.
- Before you jump down my throat, this is a joke. (although not very funny)
He’s probably been in town now for a couple hours. Star Trib’s Access Vikings says Housh will have a decision by tomorrow. Last year when they flew Berrian in didn’t they get it done the same day? I think so … anyway it seems possible that they could announce this tonight, wishful thinking.

Cincy Enquirer
The Bengals’ free agent wide receiver will visit Minnesota tonight after meeting with Seattle yesterday. He might also visit with the New York Giants, but that has not been confirmed."
This is about all I got out of a Cincy newpaper
I just read on PFT that he said he won’t make a decision until sunday evening. Hopefully, he picks us.
NFL Network
is reporting that a source with the Vikings said that they will do everything possible to get T. J. to sign with the team before he leaves Minnesota. Keep your fingers crossed…
I was just about to post this
TJ, why don’t you actually just sign for a good team that wants you and is giving you a fair price?
The seahawks and bucs are very questionable, and the giants probably won’t pay as much. He should be happy just to play on a good team.
Can't wait for the TJ to TJ connection.
It’ll be like Montana to Rice 2.0 ;)

31
to me that just means hes been around enough to know whats up .kind of like chris carter we need that!
Doesn't look good
TJ says he’ll make a decision tonight according to cincy enquirer. If he didn’t decide on Minny while in Minnesota, then I’m guessing that deal on the table in Cincy is worth more. I’m starting to assume he’ll resign with the Bengals tonight.
