Can Karl Paymah Bills?
He most certainly can!
The Vikings and former Broncos' CB Karl Paymah have agreed to terms on a one-year contract worth $1.55 million, according to Access Vikings.

I'm somewhat excited...
Our special teams’ unit will receive a small boost, and that is a good thing.

I am a little excited
we get improvement on the ST unit and depth at the CB position. My understanding is he is way better then Sapp, so that is a plus.
Will the Real Thor Please Stand Up ... ?
Paymah
Being a Broncos fan that resides in Minneapolis, I am interested to see how Paymah does in a change of scenery. There were reports of him getting a starting gig somewhere as a #2 corner, which would of shocked me.
Paymah has good size and speed, can tackle, but always left a lot to be desired in coverage. He was repeatedly misused in the Broncos secondary, as he did not fit the scheme at all. Paymah could not, and is still learning how to play zone. He never played zone in college, and it showed.
He was said to have the most upside out of the corner draft the Broncos had. Foxworth, Williams (R.I.P) and Paymanh. Williams was easily the best of the three, but the others showed glimpses of promise.
Best luck to Paymah, I am sure he is better than Gordon, Sapp, and whoever else he has to compete against to get the Nickel spot.

Well...
the Vikings play predominantly zone, so if you’re accurate, that’s not so good a fit, unless he’s projected to play special teams mostly. Thanks for the info.
According to the mocks, the best value at their first pick might be at corner, so I hope they don’t pass that opportunity up because they have stopgap guys like Paymah and Sapp on board.
I have to disagree a bit
the reason we kept Paymah over Foxy is he was the better zone player and that was slowik’s thing (thank god for Nolan) He is a good zone guy and will do well but his man skills were the reason he was a 4th round pick!

I'm just glad the Vikings realized we can sign players from other teams!
But seriously, he gives us some needed depth at CB along with a special teams boost. Well done Vikes, got him for a good price too.

agree about the depth
disagree about the price. 1.55 million a year? Incentives could make it over 2 million a year. And he’s only competing for the nickel spot! Seems a little too expensive IMO
