Pro Football Talk has Mathew Stafford slipping past the first half of the draft in their newest mock draft. Here is the link. I don't think Detroit will pick Stafford with the first pick in the draft, but I don't see him slipping past the 49ers. For some reason, PFT has Sanchez and Freeman being taken before Stafford. If this happens, it raises a couple important questions.
1) Do the Vikings trade up to about the 17th pick and get Stafford?
2) Do the Vikings make a trade with Denver, allowing Cutler to come here and them to get Stafford? I can see the Vikings sending their 1st, 5th, and maybe next years 4th to the Jets for the #17 pick, then trading that pick to Denver for Cutler. This would allow the McDaniels to select his own QB, and give the Vikings their franchise QB.
