Cutler, or not?

What do we do here folks???

I'm at a loss with this Cutler thing, but he does sound a hell of a lot better than any QB on our current roster.

From what I've read about the guy, he seems to be a long term guy and not the "fill in for the year" types that we Viking's fans have become so accustomed to.  And if Holt came in, he would have a pretty damn good group of receivers to throw at.

What do you guys think the Vikings would have to give up to get him?  If I'm not mistaken, I think he's still under contract and I'm wondering if the Broncos can force him to stay for another year.  (Like I said, I'm not all up on the facts in relation to this guy)

I just don't know guys...

I know this subject has been hammered all over the place, but I sort of just wanted to ask everyone's opinion now that he has declared that he wants out of Denver.

Again, sorry if this subject is driving everyone nuts....

Jake

in all honesty i would love to see jay cutler in a vikings uniform, but i believe he will demand too much in trade and contract. If we could in someway work out a three way deal that would minimize our cost and maximize our gains i would be all for but i dont see that happening and i think that trading for cutler will either be detrimental to our future stars (from the draft) or take from our key core players we have now. there is too much risk and not enough reward for me.

Cutler is the Answer

To the Question: Can the Vikings Go All the Way?

And to be honest, there is no one else out there who we know can do the job for the next 10+ years as a franchise-quality QB. Imagine that, a decade of not feeling the need to scream at our own QB’s play. What would we do with all our free time?!

Oh no, there’d still be screaming. QBs turn the ball over, it happens. We just despise it and wish we could have a Tom Brady to throw 50 TDs to only 8 Ints in a season.

Turn overs

I remember Warner throwing for the end zone in the Super Bowl and Harrison picking it off, getting a 100 yard TD return… but no one called for Warner’s head over it. He hasn’t been dissed in any media I’ve seen so far for the bungle (despite it being the game-difference in points). Sh!t happens, and there’s few teams out there that wouldn’t want Warner on their roster right now. What if that had been a Viking screw-up though… would we be calling for the chopping block? I’d like to hope not, but history suggests otherwise…

Of course he’d be on the chopping block. Jackson went from Starter to “Career Backup” because of an interception TD. The last three games of the season, I’m fairly sure Jackson was better than Warner, and he had an immediate fall from grace.

Of course, Warner did make a comeback from his interception and gave his team the lead late in the game. To be fair, Jackson didn’t get the team back into it. Maybe that’s why the media hasn’t picked Warner apart.

Effigy

Could be worse… remember what the New Yorkers did to Tarkenton? Still gives me the willies, seeing that picture.

A quote from Florio at PFT

In reference to the “best options for cutler to be traded”

“As to Leinart, we pointed out at SportingNews.com that he could land in Denver as part of a three-team trade that sends Cutler to a team like the Lions, Vikings, Jets, or Buccaneers.”

I was against the Cassel push.

But for Cutler I would be willing to sell the farm. Now I would love to see them just give up picks, but I think the Broncos Are gonna Ask for a hell of a lot for him.

This guy is the real deal! Mike Shannahan always compared him to Elway. And with the guys we have here we can win now! I still think it would take a year to gel, but do it!
