Newest ESPN mock with Lion's not taking Stafford

First off, I don't think the Lions will or should take Stafford with the 1st pick in the draft.  I think they need a stud LT, and go from there.  If I were the Lions, I would draft Jason Smith #1, a defensive stud like Cushing #20, and if Freeman was still there, take him with the 33rd pick.  The Lion's have Culpepper, and he will be fine for a couple years.  If they could get Freeman, he would be great if he could sit behind Culpepper for a year or two.  Here is the link.

With this scenario on ESPN, they have the Vikings taking Britton with the 22nd pick.  I like Britton.  He might be a little bit of a reach at 22, but he would shore up the right side of the line for years to come.

With the Viking's second round pick, they have us taking Pat White (as a WR).  This is the truly interesting pick IMO.  I'm not sure how I feel about that.  Pat White has only done drills this offseason as a QB.  And he has actually looked pretty damn good.  Would the Vikings draft White?  If they did, would he come in as a WR or a QB?

ESPN doesn't have a 3rd round mock.  But they do have a list of the best players still available:

1. Jairus Byrd CB Oregon
2. Jared Cook TE South Carolina
3. Sen'Derrick Marks DT Auburn
4. Duke Robinson G Oklahoma
5. Asher Allen CB Georgia
6. Eric Wood C Louisville
7. Cody Brown OLB Connecticut
8. Shonn Greene RB Iowa
9. Fili Moala DT USC
10. James Casey TE Rice
11. David Veikune DE Hawaii
12. Travis Beckum TE Wisconsin
13. Coye Francies CB San Jose State
14. Alex Magee DT Purdue
15. Juaquin Iglesias WR Oklahoma

One guy I really like in the remaining group is Jairus Byrd.  He would be an excellent CB, and great value in the 3rd for the Vikings.  Also, if the Vikings were to draft Pat White as a QB, there is Juaquin Iglesias still available.

Interesting stuff, and I am looking forward to all of your comments!
