Search Called Off

PrintThe Coast Guard called off the search Tuesday for the other three: Oakland Raiders linebacker Marquis Cooper, free-agent defensive lineman Corey Smith and former University of South Florida player William Bleakley, three days after their boat capsized Saturday.
certainly all of our thoughts and prayers from us here at the Daily Norseman, go out to the families of the missing boaters. all we can do now is hope and pray for their safe return.

Not only to them and their family, but friends, co-players and teams too.

This was really sad.
I have been following this down here in the Tampa area the since it started. Maybe you don’t realize that it actually gets cold here. The last 2 nights have been in the the freeze range. Makes me wonder if these guys even saw the forecast as a front was moving in and advisaries for small craft were noted on the weather. Seas were relatively calm but changed quickly.
Makes you wish someone would have been around to warn them at the launch.
I certainly pray for a miracle for these guys but I don’t think I could have sat outside in the cold the last 2 nights not alone the water.
Very sad.
Wildly inappropriate…but still pretty funny.
