The conversation ender...
Ahem. I'll just leave this link here, and you guys can take a look at your leisure. Pretty sure it will end a few extra fanposts from being created.
Here ya go:

The title of the link might give away the big surprise.
Oh right I need to make this 75 words. Let's see, it was 60, so it should be fine now.
This FanPost was created by a registered user of The Daily Norseman, and does not necessarily reflect the views of the staff of the site. However, since this is a community, that view is no less important.

Coaches and GM's say that all the time
then BAM! he’s traded. Not saying he’s lying, just that pronouncements like this are comen even about guys they are shopping right from the get go. And lets make no mistake about it, denver was shopping Cutler. now they didn’t get their target, but if McDaniels didn’t think Cutler was his guy, then, he still doesn’t think it now.
New regiems almost always mean new QB’s and there is still one viable target out their for Denver. Mark Sanchez. if Culter gets traded this year it will probably not happen until the draft.
Will the Real Thor Please Stand Up ... ?
If he traded Cutler, and the new QB turns out to be absolute garbage, the guy is on the hotseat right from year 1. I think he’ll be smarter than that. He’ll end up realizing that he has a franchise, pro-bowl caliber QB on the roster right now, and his guy or not, should be building around him, because those don’t fall into a coach’s lap very often.
It’d just be stupid for them to trade him unless they’re getting Roelthisberger or somebody who’s shown they can be consistant like Cutler.
Thank you!
Even if Cutler was available for trade, the Vikings don’t have much to offer that the Broncos would be interested in. Our draft picks probably aren’t high enough to draft an elite QB and it’s not like Denver would be dumb enough to take any of our current Mediocrity Platter.
So end of story, agreed? Good.

And we should take that statement with how many grains of salt?
C’mon, this is the NFL people.
Since when has a coach saying “We absolutely will not do this!” meant that they actually will not do it?
It could be true, but it also could be an attempt at damage control. If you slipped up and upset your franchise QB, the first step in trying to regain his confidence would be to issue a statement like this.
Let’s take it for what it probably is, damage control. Then just wait and see what happens.
