Alright, folks. . .the first pick will officially go to the podium here in about half an hour or so. Yes, we all know who it's going to be, but this will mean that the draft is officially underway.
Discuss all of the action here. I might be a bit distracted. . .Mrs. Gonzo has taken our new puppy to the emergency animal hospital down the road. I should probably be there, but I'm here instead. So, I'm waiting for word from her and watching the draft. I'll keep up as best I can. . .and maybe throw in puppy updates as well.
But we'll discuss the first round here. We'll start a new thread for Round 2.

Stafford gone to the Lions with a 6 year contract, before the draft even begins.
That’s an awful lot of faith in a rook, and it says a something about their confidence in C-Pep.

If someone like the Jets or Tampa thinks they need to get ahead of the Seahawks at 4 to get Mark Sanchez.
I’m not sure how serious the Seahawks’ interest in Sanchez is, though, to be honest.

True, but there is something that all 3-4 teams aren’t that good at: Stopping the run. Remember when Peterson broke the single game rushing record against San Deigo? They are one of the best 3-4 Ds in the league.
