My last Favre post until it's settled

PrintThe Brett Favre saga is sucking the oxygen out of the Vikings room, so let me pipe in on why, once and for all, the Vikings should sign him. And I promise, this will be the last I mention it until he either signs or stays retired.
There is one segment of the fanbase that wants nothing to do with Brett Favre, largely because he played for the arch rival Packers. They feel that if Favre were to take the Vikings to and win the Super Bowl, it would somehow be tainted, and all credit would go to Favre. Others think that cheering for Favre would be akin to rooting for the Taliban or Al Qaeda. The other segment of the non-Favre camp doesn't want to buy in and cheer for him because they fear he will throw an interception to lose to the Packers, or lose in the NFC championship, or God Forbid, the Super Bowl.

I spent a good hour trying to purge all the Favre topics, and you had to go ahead and post a new one.

I would post a more coherent post, but it is 1:20 AM and the 3 buck chuck has me faded and incoherent.

Seriously though, people need to relax about the Favre posts. I know we have a big one on the main page, but, really, what else is there to talk about? Fishing openers? Movie season? No thanks. I came on here to talk football. And Favre is related to my team of choice in the news recently, so I want to discuss that.
Well, maybe some of us like talking about movies and fishing! Whatcha gonna do about it?

There are only so many topics worth discussing right now that have nothing to do with Favre.
Notice that 2 out of the Seven posts were about football, coincidentally, that is the amount of TD’s to INT’s favre threw in the last three games of the season.
Another Segment
You forot about the segment of the non-Favre population who think, based on his playoff record the past 10 years, his age, and his “bigger than the team” attitude are not a good fit for this team.
Could you imagine Adrian Peterson or Jared Allen not showing up for off-season workouts or wanting their own office apart from the team?
We don’t need this clown.

I just like the thought of sticking it to Green Bay
I rarely get into squabbles with anyone but recently when that obnoxious Pecker fan wrote I couldn’t hold back. Was fun just to see them get all PO’ed about the whole thing.
One point I missed when he accused us of wanting their left overs was one made by my friend.
“Being as they hate the Bears, maybe more than us, why would they complain about us taking an elder Favre when McMahon was on their roster as a back up QB?” I believe he also got a 2nd Super Bowl ring as a Packer.
Bunch of hypocrites. I hate Green Bay!
