Favre to end his silence
June 14th, 2009 – 7:18 PM by Judd ZulgadThere has been plenty of talk for the past month-plus about whether Brett Favre will join the Vikings for the 2009 season. But throughout this process, Favre has remained quiet. That silence will end at 8 p.m. Monday when the retired quarterback appears live in studio on the debut of “Joe Buck Live” on HBO.
Buck, who is Fox’s lead play-by-play voice for the NFL and baseball, was added to the HBO lineup after Bob Costas departed to start working for Major League Baseball’s new network.

Guaranteed he talks a whole lot about nothing. A bunch of, “well I can play, just don’t know if I want to,” etc, etc, etc…
In AP I trust
Just say no to Favre.

I See Your 1,000, and Raise You 1,000
But man oh man, I’d LOVE to hear that he’s hanging it up. I would even start to like Joe Buck for breaking that story!

Exactly!
Glad I’m not the only one who sees this. Just read your comment after posting one similar to yours.
In other words, don’t get your hopes up that you are going to see some revelation. He will dance around the issue and maybe tell them to hold their questions to one on the Vikings plan.

Anyone else wonder..
how much Favre gets paid by HBO to break his silence on that show? Its gotta be a nice chunk of change.
Strangely...
It was a big ol’ pot of coinky-dink. Favre was booked in April, before all this. So it’s very possible he won’t say a damn thing about coming back. It’s live, so you can bet Joe Buck will ask him, but it’s still not as promising that it’s been in the works for months now. I’d rather it be a spur of the moment thing, like, “Eff it, I’m going on TV to tell everyone what I plan on doing.”
Instead, he was gonna do it in April. Bah.

Skol Vikings!
Woot Woot!
maybe this was his plan all along. i doubt he’ll say anything worthwhile, but i could see him planning something way back in march/april. wasn’t that when he asked for his release from the jets? why ask for a release if you have absolutely no desire to play?
