Hey Vikings Fans: I was at a bar in NYC last night. Jared Allen was there. He was very drunk, screaming out lyrics to ’80s music, but the most embarrassing part of the night was when he lost his iphone. He forced the DJ to stop the music and announced over the loudspeaker that he indeed lost his iphone. He basically got on his knees at and searched for his iphone with a flashlight all over the bar.
Other Jared Allen notes: He has no idea about the Favre saga (a dude he was with claimed to golf with Favre and thinks "Favre's gotta get his sh*t together and make up his mind already"), he likes whiskey and drinks Jack, he thinks Sage Rosenfelds sucks.
Seems like a nice guy.

I fell sorry for you
Someone who is pathetic enough to make virulent insinuations against a beloved member of the Purple for the sole sake of trying to get a rise out of people he/she will never meet speaks volumes of character. (The lack thereof). Here at the Norseman we try to keep it clean and respectful. Either back it up or please leave.

I'm a little upset
as i didn’t want to do anything but disprove this post.
I looked up Dorians and called the restaurant wanting to know if Vikings star Jared Allen was there cause I had wanted to meet him.
Now, either this is some kind of set up, but he confirmed Jared was there. I had said I was a fan and wanted to get an autograph without bothering him. He told me to call back at 7:00 and he would talk to a friend of his (a Keith) who he would ask to help me out. He (the man on the phone)gracoiusly invited me to his establishment.
I guess I’m a little taken back as my goal was to prove he wasn’t even in NY or even if there was such an establishment.
Then again, this could be a big joke from a Gaints/jets establishment to cause a rumble.

This proves nothing other than I made a call. No one said he was out of hand, an unruly patron or irresponsible drinker or driver. In fact, if it was true, the fellow seemed quite proud that he was there and used it to invite me there.
Take it for what it is. JA did nothing wrong, or illegal, if it is true.

I mean seriously… the guy is an outgoing, fun-loving, loud, borderline obnoxious person.
Most people need a six-pack to even come close to that.

After reading the comments, especially Citrus', I'm inclined to believe he was there last night
But that doesn’t mean that JA did anything wrong. Was he drinking? Probably. Was he having a good time? Probably (he was drinking. Duh!)
But it’s not like he did anything wrong. No one said he drove. No one said he hit some woman. No one said he was snorting coke off a strippers ass. No one said he was beating people with brass polls.
He was in New York at a bar having a good time with his buddies. O well. It’s the off season, and training camp doesn’t start for another month and a half. Let the man have some fun.

If i remember right he has 2 strikes, and personally I would prefer he not get a third. I want that athletic anomaly out there crushing cutler rodgers and i guess the lions too just to pad his stats.

I would hate to see some dude from the press reading this and making the guys life miserable over what some bar patron said. For all I we know the poster could have been plastered. Everyone seems drunk when you are.

I've read this type of crap before
I dont know if any of you saw this blog entry on SI’s web site & I dont have the time to dig the link up…but;
Some race baiter posted on the SI site that he had been in a club, somewhere in Iowa earlier this month. Jared Allen was there, on stage, telling the DJ to stop the “n**ger music”. The post was basically stating that Allen was an overt & open racist & dropping “N Bombs” every other word.
WTF is it with the hate for Jared Allen? This post is crap. Delete it.
Dont you have ANYTHING to do with your day? Get a friggin’ life G-Monkey. Roll up your pant legs, grease back your hair & throw another “Q’watah” in the Juke box fool. Geez.
