Minnesota State Judge to End Williams Lawsuit Quickly
Thank God. It's about time we get some news on this.
Judge Paul Magnuson last week dismissed most of the Williamses’ lawsuit but sent the case back to state court to resolve two remaining claims under Minnesota laws.
I hope this actually does get resolved soon. I would rather know what's gonna happen now then in late August. I sure hope this judge is a Grade-A badass who loves the Vikings. I guess we'll see soon. Hahahaha!
PS - I am going to become a new co-writer at Twinkie Town! For those of you who love the Twins and read the blog, see ya there!

Hey, there’s no better advantage than homefield advantage — in addition to the merits of their case, that’s something else to be optimistic about. Looking forward to seeing you over at Twinkie Town!

You're right
It’s better than having it in a foreign state.

Nope, they’re gonna get suspended. Otherwise the league would still be trying to cut deals.

I’m not so sure what everyone is worried about, our first 4 games aren’t too difficult. Can’t see us any worse than 3-1 without them.

Comparitively.
The Browns =/= the Colts. The 49ers =/= the Patriots. You get the idea.

True, but
The odds of one of those 3 “crappy” teams we play to start the season being a surprise team are actually pretty decent. Well maybe not the Lions, but you get my point—there are always a handful of surprise teams each season. I just hope Cleveland, San Fran, and Detroit aren’t it.

True.
There are always surprising teams (Falcons, Dolphins), and knowing Minnesota’s luck, all three will vault to the top of their divisions, but I’m hoping that early in the year, none will have hit their stride quite yet.

What Goes Around Comes Around
The opinion of Judge Larson on the case will matter more than any opinions which the NFL attorneys may say that they have of their chances of winning it.
If the NFL is of the opinion it is a good idea to punish players who are discovered taking tainted diet pills as severely as they would punish people who were actually proven to have taken steroids, then they need to consider that the union feels that that is an abuse of the steroids policy powers that were given to the league.
Beware of Phyrric victories. Playing hardball now can prove contagious later when you want to get something from the NFLPA, like the reworking of the salary cap agreement.
