In the game of NFL musical chairs, the team roster limit this time of year is 80 signed players. Rookies do not count until they are signed, but you won't be playing without a contract. The headcount is now down to 82.
This means (in almost plain English) that QB Sean Glennon, OT Bobby Lepori, and TE Nick Walker have been given a headstart in finding work elsewhere. Sorry, we hardly knew ye.
Sean Glennon: A sign that Favre and his sleigh are on the way?
Bobby Lepori: A hint that Loadholt is not a likely hold out?
Nick Walker: An indication Shiancoe has found his niche and Kleinsasser is still way too great of a blocker to ride off into the sunset?
It is not that these gentlemen leaving us are untalented; it is evidence that there are too many fish in the sea.
We won't get to see them at Mankato to get a better look, but let us get a show of hands on which of these players you feel is most likely to catch a seat in the NFL somewhere.
