New Blog: Sounder At Heart for Seattle Sounders Fans!

10/25 @ Heinze field, Super Bowl preview?

As a Steelers fan and a Vikes fan, I personally can't wait for this game. I have alot of friends who love footy-footy-football, and they aren't all Steeler or Vikes fans, but for the most part, they agree, SB preview for this game. I, however, have VERY mixed feelings about a Purple/Black'n'Gold Super Bowl. On one hand, I would love to see the Steelers get another Ring, and put the record out of reach. On the other, I want to remember when the Vikes won a playoff game.

Now, with Brett "I don't wanna retire" Favre, I think the chance will be higher than ever for me to finally say "yeah, Vikings are in the Super Bowl". Don't get me wrong, I think Gus Frerotte is quite possibly the #1 most underrated QB ever. Not even the RAMS gave him a real shot, but I'm sorry Gus, with the choice, I would still go with favre.

Sorry for rambling, this is my very first fanpost, not too familiar with the formating of this stuff. I just wanted to get my thoughts out here. After all, isn't that what blogs are for? I welcome all thoughts, comments, hatemail. hehe

Uh

Either you have a time machine and came from last year or you are the worst Vikings fan ever. Gus hasn’t been throwing limp wristed picks in Purple for quite a while.

sorry

Maybe I’m not the most up to date, considering the Steelers just won the Super Bowl, but I am still a Vikes fan. Besides, my QB commentary wasn’t up for debate/discussion. I happen to think Gus is pretty good, and even Favre had a shitty season or two. Plus, I’m still waking up, so if I’m a little fuzzy sounding, you, and the rest of Purple Nation have my apologies.

Thank you drive through...

Both teams should be rocking and rolling by this time

So yes I would say this could be a SB preview. One thing for sure is that it will be a measuring stick for both teams on where they are physically given their nature of play. I think outside of the division this is the #1 game for Vikes fans to see.

Oct. 25th Marked On Calendar

I work around a bunch of Steeler fans and they’re already talking trash about this game. If this edition of the Vikes lives up to it’s potential, I have no doubt they can come out of Heinz Field with a win.

If..

Brady is healthy this year, then there is no reason to not assume they will be in the Super Bowl. I think a healthy Brady and the Patriots beat the Steelers 9 out of 10 times.
