Interesting side note to Winfield article...

PrintIn Seifert's article about Winfield missing the minicamp, he brings up a list of others not at the camp. Among them is our new d-back Asher Allen. I thought this was a little strange because as a rookie, it seems like you would want to be at all of this stuff, mandatory and otherwise.
For all I know there may be a perfectly good explanation for his absence but, being excited about this guy's potential, I'm slightly concerned. Anyone know what is up or have any guesses? Seifert didn't comment any further.

He had a minor surgery on his knee, should be ready by training camp.
