It is only a matter of time...

Brett Favre WILL  play for the Vikings, He knows it and the Vikings know it....He threw 100 passes, Sure he is gonna be a little sore. If Favre really was in pain he would'nt of been able to throw 20 passes and say that he felt encouraged about his throws. Its just a matter of time...Thats all....

Favre is just pushing this all the way to the day of training camp, It is the same old story for the past couple of years.

it's all about $$$$

I don’t think there is a contract in place 100%. They probably agreed to some general parameters, but I would guess this was about squeezing the Vikings. Don’t get mad at him for wanting more money, they all do.

Throwing 100 balls to me says he’s at, “yeah the shoulder feels fine, but what happens when I throw 100 balls?”. Meaning that throwing a few dozen leaves him pain free. If that’s the case, he’s healthy enough to play. I would imagine he’s gonna be willing to compromise with himself to a certain degree when it comes to evaluating his health. I’m sure he wants to drive the sports car after riding around in a mini-van all those years.

He’s gonna come off as apathetic about playing, like a good car buyer does not walk into the dealership gushing over the car they want. There is no doubt in my mind that Favre wants to play for the Vikes mainly because it’s such a great fit for all parties involved.

Neither side will be honest about anything until it’s a done deal.

Great post newmex.

I’m totally there with you bq. Blockquoted paragraph There is no doubt in my mind that Favre wants to play for the Vikes mainly because its such a great fit for all parties inolved.

If Childress thinks he can make our team better, he has said he will evaluate him. He saw that Favre would be available, so he’s done exactly that. He knew he had an injury on his hands with Favres shoulder so he does what any other coach would have to do. Wait and evaluate it.

If Favre feels like he can throw the ball heavy and hard he could play another season. so he Bold phrasewaits for his surgically repaired shoulder to heal. Meanwhile a million sources are texting eachother, calling hotels, hanging out at a local highschool, stalking his daughter, yada yada yada. He won’t be Brett Favre of the Jets who was asked to be the hero and asked to pass for 300 yards a game to contend. Nor will he be the young gun quarterback for Green Bay for 15+ years. I think our offense will still move heavily on the ground, but Favre will be the difference when we get in the redzone or we need a long distance third down.

Don’t forget about Jackson, he will make for a great #2 with a vet QB.

100 Passes

Not even in the pass-happy days of C-Pep and Moss did even half that number of passes get made in a single game. If that’s what it takes for Favre’s arm to get sore, the man’s ready to play.

Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
SKOL!

Well said. A healthy rookie QBs arm would be sore after 100 passes
