Crackpot Theory of the Day
The Green Bay Packers use essentially the same offense as the Vikes, which is one of the reasons why Brett Favre would (will) be such a good fit in Minnesota. Also, the Packers have two unproven backups to Aaron Rodgers -- Matt Flynn and Brian Brohm.
Thus, the Packers could end up being interested in Jackson. And Jackson could end up being interested in the Packers.

Crackpot is right.
I’d love to play an offense that’s started Tarvaris Jackson. With the Vikings’ defense? Forget about it.

Before reading the comments on this one was I was going to
use the heading “Note to self, schedule intervention to get Mike Florio off of crack!!” for my thoughts about Florio’s article. Apparently no real thought is necessary to write professionally anymore. Sad, sad, sad.

Not happening
Why would T Jack go from likely backup to Favre who is done in 1-2 years to garunteed backup to Karen Rogers who will play for 10 more? Doesn’t make sense.

It would have to be via a trade
unless the Vikings were to cut him. I don’t think they will get rid of Jackson anyhow. My guess is that Booty will be the odd man out.
Besides, if Jackson does not sign and were a free-agent next year, I don’t think many Packer fans would be happy about it. If they didn’t want Moss, I’m guessing Jackson would be considered tainted goods. Besides, history would remember “Favre for Jackson”. I like Jackson, but ouch.

Tarvaris Jackson
I will pack his bags for him. Let him go, he will never be a quality QB in the NFL… not worried….

...
That gave me a good laugh. I mean, I know reporters have to go out on a limb sometimes, but the Packers being interested in Tarvaris? Really?
The only feasible reason I can think of would be to pick his brain to gain some strategic advantage, and even that’s a stretch.
In AP I trust
Just say no to Favre.

Hell No
There is no way we would be interested in Jackson. I would rather us go with Flynn or Brohm if Rodgers got hurt.

You mean...
You wouldn’t want to run the roll-out pass every two plays? Why not?

Haha my favorite
Is when he jumps in the air and then passes it. I think I’d kill myself if he was our QB, and I ever saw him do that.

Deer in the headlights
People in Wisconsin are most likely already used to the sight that is a deer in the headlights. Now, you can see what it’s like to have that on the football field!

Packers wouldn't go for that
That’d just put Ted Thompson in same position we’re in — only worse. They’d have 4 QBs, who do they cut? Not Flynn, he’s a better prospect than Bohm. Not Bohm, Thompson would be admitting picking him in the 2nd round was a bust (which I don’t think is proven true anyway). And obviously not Rodgers.
I’m just saying your scenario 1) puts the Packers in an even bigger QB quandry than the one we are supposedly needing to get out of — trying to get JDB on practice squad is much more doable than the Packers trying to put Flynn or Bohm on it — and 2) the Packers really need veteran backup, not yet another “still struggling to learn” guy anyway. They already have that, in spades.

Wow.
We are still clearly divided into 2 camps of Vikings fans re: Tarvaris Jackson.
Some seriously believe that he could step in and lead the Packers to a 5- or 6- game improvement AND win the Super Bowl? LOLlercoasterz
