I am truly disappointed.

I just graduated high school, and I'm planning on attending UW-Madison and i find the trash talking going on between the fans of opposing teams, particularly trolls and my DN brethren to be despicable and childisn. Not since middle school have i come across such stupid name calling girly drama queen I'm better than you because I say I am BS. I'm disappointed in many of you. Ignore the trolls, let them have thier moment. Don't fuel the fire and let there egos grow. Ignore them and talk intelligent football talk back up with facts not opinions, because in the real world God don't give a shit what your opinion is.

Like I said in another post. This is Football!

Trash talking should not only be allowed….it should be expected. If you can’t handle a little jarring between fans of opposing football teams, you probably shouldn’t be a fan of football.

Trash Talk

Sometimes it’s fun…

But sometimes it’s just obnoxious as hell. Especially if it isn’t warranted.

And when it devolves into a 20 post exchange of people repeating the same stupid thing over and over again, it just looks childish and brings into question credibility of the participants and the site.

I understand what’s motivated it, but it can get out of hand and drive off people who would otherwise want to post and participate, but won’t because they don’t want to be verbally beaten up. That ain’t football. That’s just being a jerk.

But if that’s the case, it’s pretty simple what you should do…ignore it and don’t respond…whoever was doing it was probably just looking for attention and a reaction…don’t give it to him and he’ll go away most likely

the problem was i was looking for some intelligent insight into the situation that occured yesterday. But to find one nugget i had to dig through 150 crap comments of unintelligent banter. I’m fine with trash talk, but back up your talk with facts, don’t attack people and call them morons because you believe your opinion is all that matters in deciding and argument.

I am an old timer

I tried to talk intelligently about the “educated facts” he seemed to have. He never responded. The troller kept redirecting his comments to insult others so I played the game with him.
I had the books in front of me to debate his so called educated guesses and challenges. Guess it was too easy to get into the cat fights than give me his facts and get the facts from a guy who has known Viking history from their inception.
Now I am no off the cuff geneius but I could have intelligenty torn his argument of Packer supremecy to the core.
But yes, I too agree with the cival aspects of blogging. This was a rare exception in my case and I am sure others. The guy came on here gloating about BF not coming here.
Not intending in any way to be cival. I don’t have any desire to punch someone in the nose. But if they do it to me, without provocation, they’ll get one back. If you do something like that while trolling a blog you make sure your intentions are in good humor.
If Cutler or Rodgers break their leg I am going to go gloating about how good I feel about it on their site? Did I go to a Denver site and start in about they suck because even Jay Cutler doesn’t want to play there? That is looking for a fight and that is what this guy was doing. He didn’t want it fom me and a couple others who challenged his “reasoning”
