Great read

I come over once in awhile to DN just to see opinions from a rival team, but this time to read about All Day’s fantasy preview. I enjoyed the part about the everyday drama in regards to Favre and the Vikes rumors. Those would be my sentiments as well if I was a fan.

As far as my personal reaction, the only thing that really miffs me is that the mainstream media. . .as well as our site. . .made this THE story of the Vikings’ off-season. We spent so much time covering this that there were a lot of other aspects of the Vikings that went ignored this off-season. Both the national media and our site (on a smaller scale, obviously) did a disservice to the fans of the Vikings by allowing this story to absorb so much of our thought process.

Gonzo- do you think AP will catch more passes this season? I know Taylor is your 3rd down back, and a very good one in that role.

I think he's almost going to have to

Largely because, if my memory serves me correctly, this is the last year on Chester Taylor’s contract, and the guy knows he could probably start somewhere else. With that in mind, I would think that Childress would attempt to get AP some more work as a pass catcher to see if he can handle it and/or how big a priority a third down back should be on the 2010 shopping list.

So, I’d expect his receiving numbers to go up a bit, but he’s not going to go Roger Craig on us or anything.

Kind of figured

Just curious- Is Loadholt playing with the first team when camp starts, or will he have to earn his way into the spot?

Thanks

They say there's a "competition"

At right tackle. . .but I think just about everybody would be surprised if, barring injury, he’s not the starting RT on Opening Weekend.
