Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Quick injury update: Berrian and Rosenfels both missed practice today after suffering injuries in Friday's game. Berrian isn't Tweeting any clues on his return date, and I wonder if we'll see him at all through the remainder of the preseason. Meanwhile, Jared Allen injured his right ankle in today's practice.

This is pro football. Everyone who was actually expecting no one to get hurt, please raise your hands. The health care death panel will be taking notes.

One wonders if professional athletes would be disqualified from health care coverage due to willfully engaging in hazardous behavior…

Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
SKOL!

At least they’ll qualify for end of life counseling.

Injuries happen constantly in pro-football thankfully none-of these are long term injuries. I expect all of them to be healed up by the time the season starts, my only concern would be that Sage loses ground to TJ.

The only way he could lose ground...

is if he hopped in a golf cart and drove in reverse for a couple of days. Jackson will only lose more ground by himself on Friday.

all these guys now qualify for the term ‘injury prone’.
