Does anyone realize......
We're effed in the A, for our future now. Whose going to qb this team next season and the following 5-10 years after that. NOT Brett Favre. Sage possibly? Beats the shit out of me. There's already talks of us letting TJ go, so my guess is he's out of the picture. Does this not worry anyone or is a one year fix fine with everyone, cuz to tell you the truth I'm kinda worried about this. What's your thoughts. Be honest.
And does anyone know what happened in the williams case, wasn't that suppose to be decided yesterday?

This move is Childress effectively going "all in."
Childress is saying, “We have all the tools to win a Super Bowl right now, minus a quarterback.” He went out and got Favre to try and do that. For the future he has Sage for a few years, possibly Booty, and maybe Tarvaris. Depending on the season, maybe the Vikings draft the QB of the future and have him sit behind Sage for three or four years.
Who knows? Right now, I’m just concerned about this year.

Skol Vikings!
Woot Woot!
First off, Favre could change his mind 30 times and end up QB’ing us next year too. Beyond that, JDB will have then been groomed for 3 years to take over OR Sage will still be there and take over.
If either one tanks badly after Favre goes OR if Favre himself sucks it up then we can draft a rookie next year. There are 4 quality QB’s coming out next year.
Take it Easy
We still we have Sage on contract after this year and there is always the possibility of drafting someone or trading for someone…it’ll be alright

I know many people will rip me for this but I like Tim Tibow in this offense. I bet he won’t translate to the pro’s but who know I guess.

Calm down.....
Sage has a 3 year contract. Some say he is pissed. I say he’ll ride it out knowing that this is still the most talented team that will give him a shot next year or the year after. Next year we trade up to get a top flight QB, let him study a year under Favre if he stays, Rosie if not, and we’ll be fine.

We got Favre for 2 years, unless he ‘retires’ on us.
We got Sage for 3 years, so there’s a perfect transition.
We got a wildcard in T-Jack.
And we got Booooooooo-teeeeeeeeeee!
I think we’re doin’ alright, gettin’ good grades…
Although, if I had my druthers, I’d try to trade T-Jack and CT and our 2010 1st round pick of the draft, to the worst team in the NFL for the 2009 season in exchange for their 1st round pick, so that we could get Bradford. Not sold on Tebow yet, but Bradford looks like just what the Vikings need.
Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
SKOL!
Not sure on Tebow either
But one thing I like about him is that the dude is a straight warrior. No quit in him.

As per your question about the Williams' case.

It sounds like it is far from over.
"Skol pa fiskande"
Seriously...
…who even cares. We got Brett f’ing Farve. Live in the now.
Besides, this changes nothing for our future. T Jack isn’t, wasn’t, and never will be considered a viable option as a quality starter. Why Chilly and Co. got so flippin’ attached to that kid is besides me.
The future will consist of the Vikings attempting to get lucky in the draft, grooming booty, and signing on quality vets. Remember, every year there is some new quality QB getting moved around so for all we know D McNabb will be our QB followed by Brees and then Brady Quinn. Seriously, you just never know. Committing to a guy for the future is what got us into this mess in the first place.
It's all good
Sage gets the highly recommended year on the bench in this AMAZING and INCREDIBLY COMPLICATED system of 2-yard dump-off passes and at least 1 year of a HoFer’s tutelage plus a very good chance of starting a few games this year. If Favre retires for real a year from now, all the better for Sage. He should be able to handle that.
TJ gets at least 1 year of almost zero media scrutiny while his fans think he will finally have time to develop. It doesn’t really matter if he can handle that or not since he’ll still be collecting an NFL paycheck to do less and learn more.
Booty finally gets a mentor better than Sage or TJ. They may as well keep him this year and see if anything good comes of it.
The team could draft another QB, and Favre might be around long enough to school that guy for at least a year.
If Chilly and Bevell can’t get it done this year with Favre, then all 3 incumbent QBs will presumably have a shot at a fresh start with better coaches and coordinators.
T.Jack is done and I'm not sure he will get any better
Yes Sage next year and possibly draft Tebow. By keeping T.Jack for the future do you all of the sudden become comfortable with our QB situation? Hell no. It’s win now time for the Vikes so I’m glad they had the nads to get Favre.
Bernard, Percy and AP oh my!

How can anyone be happy with a QB that in his last 4 years has thrown 88 TD’s and 84 picks ??? Jackson has thrown 20 TD’s and only 18 picks in his 25 games. I would like to think Jackson will improve while there is no place for Favre to go but , further down. Say your prayers that Peterson does not get hurt , Favre’s arm will not win a title !!!!!
"Favre's arm won't win a title"
neither will Sage’s or T-Jack’s or JDB’s. . .er neither will Boby Wade for heavens sake, or the Williams wall. Brett hasn’t had these kinds of running backs in the past, and I say these because I think Adrian and Chester are both better than Ryan Grant. Also a decent running back is made so much better already by Steve Hutchinson, albeit Matt Birk is gone, but Sullivan looks stable. Brett doen’t have to throw this team to a champion ship, he just has to “not” throw them out of one.
Yes! Brett Favre throw’s INT’s but they are the right kind of INT’s. Brett is a play maker and honestly in Green Bay and in New York there he was the only legit play maker. Brett can run this offense and not have to try to make every nuts TD pass out there, which led to many of his picks. The difference be T-jacks INT’s and Favre’s INT’s are that T-jack telegraphs passes, and miss reads defenses, Favre throws the ball so hard that it bounces of WR’s hand into the air and guns the ball into places Tom Brady is afraid to throw it.
I bet Brett throws no less than 12 INT’s this year and like 24 TD’s. . .

As for the future
Two of the three others are gunna stay. . .
most likely JD er T-Jack are gone, the other two will hold down the fort till we can bring someone else in, such as Tebow (I like this, NFL sterio types will be broken once the NFL sees a Mike Vick Talent QB with a brain, who actually trains {ie. maybe if McNabb gets hurt}) er someone else. . .after Brett ACTUALLY retires we’ll be back to where we are. . .but hopefully who sticks around will see how and why Brett’s been so successful and apply it to there own play.
