More Shadenfreude?
The Packers, say the AP, have not ruled out interest in Michael Vick.
Now, this is kind of a non-story, as Ted Thompson hasn't actually said that he's interested in Vick, but only that he's always interested in improving his team. What he said is, of course, GM speak for nothing at all, but it does raise some interesting possibilities.
I'd be thrilled if Vick joined the Packers. He wouldn't start over Aaron Rodgers, and he'd likely change positions, but the mere fact of his presence on the roster would bring lots of bad press to the Cheezedoodles. After all the attention--mostly negative, in my estimation--the folks in Wisconsin have directed our way via Old Man Lawnmower in the past two years, I would relish watching fans of the Green and Gold suffer at the hands of PETA and whoever else wanted to take a shot at the team I hate most.

Vick could go to it would be the Pack.Hell they fight their wifes against each other for Beer.Have you seen some of those Pack wifes Toothless, stenching, vile and willing to do anything for a shot of Mad Dog.Hell be like old home in Vicks hometown, they prolly give him the leash to city.
All kidding aside Vick DESERVES A CHANCE,he paid his price in years in the worst prison we have besides Rikers.2 years Levenworth aint no joke,no matter who you are.All in All Vick paid his debt anything else is beating the man like a dog.
One thing first: one space comes after commas; two spaces come after periods. That would make your posts much more readable—just a friendly word of advice.
I agree that Vick paid his debt to society, and deserves a chance. Does he deserve another chance in the NFL? I’d argue that it’s a rare privledge to play professional football, and not a right.
My real point, though, is that any team that signs him will have to weather a large amount of bad press, via the talking heads, fans, and PETA. Fans of the team will suffer—hence the “Schadenfreude” in regards to the Packers—and I, for one, am happy that the Wilfs have said that it won’t be us.

Now, I LOVE packer-jabbing as much as the next guy, and I am a proponent of the “Stop being so sensitive pussies, it’s a joke!” mentality, but even I found that pretty tasteless.
"The latest Brett Favre summer saga apparently has come to an end. The 39-year-old reportedly informed the Vikings on Tuesday that he will not come out of retirement for a 19th season."
The greatest news I've heard all year!
+1
We can do better here than slam some guy’s wife… There’s enough cannon fodder that we can use against the Pack that we can back up, like the fact that they’re worried about the conditioning of their #1 draft pick who is holding out, and they’re expecting him to learn a new defensive scheme and a new position… Did anybody tell him how much a long holdout will affect his firse year at least in the league, especially if he gets thrown on the PUP list when he finally does get to camp and how that reputation will follow him for his whole career??
Lay off the wives… Wife and Momma slams are for people who have nothing real to slam, and you ruin credibility with tasteless rabble rousing…
