Adrian Peterson = the awesome. part 708
Maybe its because the Vikings seemed to have few dominant running backs in thier franchise history, or backs seem to burn out after a few year, but Adrian Peterson (if healthy) will dominate the rushing and scoring record books for the franchise.
After today's amazing 180 yard preformance, Peterson has already racked up 3281 yards in his career, jumping from #9 on the Franchise rushing yards list to #7 (passing Michael Bennett 3174 and Tommy Mason 3252)
His 3 TD's today gives him 25 rushing TD's placing him at 8 on the list (breaking a tie for 10th with Alfred Anderson and Fran Tarkenton (22), passing Terry Allen's 23 at 9th place ). Leroy Hoard's 25 tds is next and if AP has a great year, he could be in 4th place on the rushing list. (Robert Smith is there with 32)
I love watching AP run, and the stats just back it up on how great he is

Also, His 180 yards today means that he has 4 of the top 5 rushing performances ever for the Vikings.

um R4F
if he has 25 and needs to get to 32 for fourth
thats only 8 more td’s to break the tie for fourth
that’s 11 in total
he had a “mediocre” year last year in terms of td’s and got around that number
im not saying ihe will get 3 everygame but i fully expect him to get more than 11 total

Don Banks of CNNSI says
“Do you realize that Adrian Peterson gained 140 of his 180 yards rushing on his final nine carries against the Browns, including that game-clinching 64-yard fourth-quarter scamper in which he left a string of Cleveland tacklers in his wake? A.P. knows how to finish.”
Jared Allen is to football what Jason Voorhees is to Lake Crystal.
Percy Harvin is Devin Hester, except someone very smart decided to teach him how to catch and run routes.
