Bernard Berrian Status/Value
First time at the Daily Norseman. Thought that this was the perfect place to ask this question. Trying to determine Bernard Berrian's value for todays game. I know he is no longer on the injury report and practiced all week long. However, last week he played the entire game and only was looked to twice from Mr. Favre. Do you guys think he will have any success in todays game? Or the Vikes be up so much that they pound the rock with AP for the majority of the game? ... Ultimately what I am trying to say is...
Do I start Bernard Berrian today in my fantasy football league? Come on guys help a brother out. Thanks and GL today.

I have BB in fantasy too but I think I’m going to sit him. I would say start Jackson and Bowe, and between Berrian and Hester it’s a toss up. The Bears play the Steelers and their defense struggled a bit against the Titans passing game, but as we saw week 1 Cutler didn’t look to good against pressure and the Steelers bring plenty of it. BB obviously has a more favorable matchup but I would expect the same conservative approach from Chilly as you guys had against the Browns. As you should be able to beat them by just running AP and Chester but you guys do seem to always play the Lions close so maybe you will pass a little more this game. I would say go with BB.

my thought process is
that the bears will be down vs steelers and will have to throw the ball. and the vikes will be up vs lions and will run the ball….
still thiink I should start BB?

Go with Hester
I think it’s a bit of a risk but the Bears did pass 36 times against us last week, and Hester did have good production. The Steelers don’t have any speedsters at CB, and w/o Polamalu I think the chances of a Hester deep ball could be better then a Berrian deep ball.

BB is still recovering from a hamstring injury. Even if he is not listed on the injury report, he is likely not 100%.
But, we are playing against the Lions who gave up 6 passing TD’s last week.
I would start Berrian. You are taking a risk, but one that should at least pay off with a TD.

But Favre is not Brees, and your offense is not structured anywhere close to how the Saints is. You guys run, run, run, and then pass. The Saints run, pass, pass, pass. Mike Bell did have a 140+ yards on the ground for the Saints last week, and I would expect AP to have numbers just like that.

Yes, but compared to Bowe, Jackson, Hester and Robertson; I would take BB.

As a Berrian owner as well
Since Welker’s out today, I’ve got Andre Johnson, Patrick Crayton, Torry Holt and Percy Harvin as my WR.
Holt’s starting right now, and Berrian and Percy are on the bench
Should I switch anyone?
