Has anyone noticed that lately there has been a visible shift in all the analyst "expert" predictions about the vikings this season. After we signed Favre they were all saying how "this was our season" with many of them picking us to win the super bowl. However lately, I've noticed that many of them are now saying that we won't be a good team and that favre will break down in the second half. I've also seen a recent love-fest for the packers and bears. Just look a SI's latest power rankings .

I mean, maybe the packers will be a good team this year, its really impossible to tell...but the 3rd best team in the league!? Sorry but I don't buy that. Also look at SI's latest NFL predictions article.

Many of them picked favre to have a bad year, none of them picked the vikings to win the north, and only 4 picked them to win the wildcard. Now, I for one actually see this as a potentially good thing for the vikings. I also happen to be a new york mets fan and they were picked by many during spring training to win the world series, and well, lets just say thats not happening. I think it might be good for the vikings to be considered the underdog by many heading into the season. That way, if we have a bad year we just say "well, they weren't supposed to be good" and if they do win the super bowl, it will feel that much better knowing they did so as an underdog. Plus, I don't think I can handle having both my baseball and football team having dreadfully disappointing seasons.
