Cowboys fan here, and I just have a question I'd wanted to ask to the general fanbase of the Minnesota Vikings. Please, temper your attitudes, as I realize this may come off as somewhat challenging, or an attempt to belittle, but I promise it's not. I just want to know how you guys/gals feel. Now that we have that out of the way...
How can any Vikings fan TRULY embrace Brett Favre as your quarterback? I mean, for years I heard from several different Vikes fans I know about how much they hated Favre... And now he's the second coming of Jesus / Mohammed / Insert Religious Figure Of Choice?
One would assume it's the "Best chance at winning" argument, which I respect. Hey, we put up with T.O. (And, no, we'd rather not talk about it, thank you very much!), so I know how it feels. But do you folks feel like you're playing with borrowed money? Let's be honest, the guy has, realistically, two solid years left, and then he's done. So the question becomes... If he doesn't win you guys a ring, do you still love him?
Here's to a good game this weekend. I appreciate any input on this, because I really haven't been able to get a realistic perspective (A real Minnesota Vikings fan's perspective)
