...Or not.  While I admit it has been incredibly difficult this year to see so many "experts", spanning all networks, under-appreciate the beloved Purple....  It has worked out quite well, hasn't it?

It wasn't just this game against Dallas.  The earliest one I remember was against SF sort of but definitely in week 4 against GB.  Everyone and their mother, or so it seemed at the time, was giving it to our opponent.  The same was true for Baltimore and GB the second time around.

Now we find ourselves with just a single opponent standing in the way of what could be the first Super Bowl appearance from the Minnesota Vikings in my lifetime.  Am I nervous?  Sure.  Do I think we can win?  Absolutely.  Is this week going to be longer than last?  While that seemed impossible last week, I think the answer is yes.

But, the last thing on EARTH that I want is for the national media to start hyping the Vikings up like they have some of our opponents this season.   It seems to drive the Vikings.... especially after what Chilly said on his post-game interview about choking back and shutting up and getting it done on the field.  I should clarify -- I'm all for solid reporting and analysis, but please oh mighty national media, do not turn us into the Cowboys of last week.  Call it a good solid matchup, because that is what it is.  Don't create false headlines and stir up stuff that simply isn't true.

The only reason for this post was this article here.  Specifically, item 10.  I can handle this kind of reporting since it is not so one sided.  It just got me reflecting on this season and how we were such severe underdogs in so many games where we came out on top.  I'm just sayin....
