CB Antoine Winfield
was named to the NFC Pro Bowl team today, his 2nd straight season being recognized as a Pro Bowler. The 11-year veteran becomes the 1st Vikings CB to earn back-to-back Pro Bowls since Carl Lee in 1989 and 1990.
Winfield missed 6 regular season games as he battled a foot injury but still tied for the team lead with 9 passes defensed and notched 58 tackles in the 10 games he played.
With Winfield’s addition, the Vikings an NFL-best 10 players in the Pro Bowl this season, matching the team-best 10 Pro Bowl honorees in 1998.
