They don't think we can do it. Most of the so called sports writers do not think that our D line can pressure the NO Saints and Drew. I agree if we do not put a lot of pressure on Drew we are going to give up some points.
What these sports writers do not get is; that the NO pass works of the Play action. So the key to putting pressure on Drew is not just the pass rush. It’s stopping the run and make tackles on short passes. This should put them into obvious passing situations. That’s when the pass rush will come and be the most important. If we can not stop the run the passing game will not matter.
So (not that I matter) the challenge has been given. Is the D line up to the task?
I say yes! We stop the run, we tackle then we put pressure on Brees. This is the road to success. It’s something we are capable of and now is the time.
