Despite the turnovers. Despite some (fairly significant) shady calls. Despite my continued hatred of Brett Favre.
I still love the hell out of this team.
If nothing else, this team showed heart today. They came back from some crushing turnovers and blatant missed calls and made this a close game. There is no doubt on my mind that if even ONE of those turnovers did not happen, or even ONE of those calls was correct...we would have won this game.
It is a little cliche to say "There's always next year..." so I won't. Instead I will congratulate the 10 Vikings players who made the pro bowl, whether they deserved it or not (I'm looking at you McKinnie and Winfield). I will congratulate the Saints who played a hell of a game. I will congratulate the Saints fan who frequented this site throughout the week (class acts by and large). Good luck in the Super Bowl...you'll need it against those Colts.
Looking forward to another great season with all of its ups and downs.
Be proud Viking Nation...even when it's hard to.
