This is just a quick post to talk about what we should do about a QB next year.  Wait for Brett?   Pick up McNabb or another senior QB?  Let TJ take over and start looking for the next best thing?

I'll go over pro's and cons of each idea and we'll see what we see.   It will be interesting seeing what you all think.

Brett Favre:  I don't know if the man will be making it back he was crushed during that Saints game and it looked like it took everything out of him to get that game out.  It would be great if he came back and I would welcome him back with open arms.  However, that last game scared me a bit he has everything he needs but I don't know if he can keep taking the punishment, and I think his wife might lay the hammer down after that last hit...  Personally, the mans amazing until he fails I'll trust him.

-He's freaken Brett Favre you could break granite on his jaw.

Donovan McNabb.  Last week we had a discussion on wether we should pick this guy up from the Eagles if he's turned loose.  Before yesterdays game I really was thinking no, but we are SO DAMN CLOSE!  If Farve doesn't come back Donovan McNabb might be able to bring us to the big dance.  The problem is can we get him cheap enough.   I don' t want to start tossing the future of this team chasing old QB's, and Philly would be in a position of power when this came down to negotiations. 

-He's no Farve but he's no TJ either, best chance of making it to the big dance next year.

Another Trade/Free Agent signing:  I don't think there's anything out there that is worth a draft pick this year.   Picking up Campbell out of Free Agency for a song would be good at least him practice againt TJ and Rose.  But I don't think this is a really good idea.

TJ/Rose:  This is a terrible idea to me.  The coaching staff has shown multiple times that they don't trust TJ.  His numbers this year have all been in trash time against poor teams.  I truly think if he starts next year we might get into the play offs but probably not.  Green Bay will kill us.

-Say goodbye to the Super Bowl and hello to rebuilding seasons with a team that has 10 probowlers on it....

So looking at this I think that Favre and McNabb are pretty much the only way we're even making a play for the SB next year.  Anyone else is a band aid and we have to much talent on this team just to throw it away.
