Petition for Favre to stay one more season

Hey guys,

If you love the way Favre has played for the Vikings this season and want to show your appreciation and desire to see him to play for one more season, sign my petition. I have a goal of 10,000 signatures, hopefully we can do far better than that. Once I have received enough signatures I will send the petition to the adress where his Vikings fan mail is sent and also to management.

Many people like to belittle the talent of both the Vikings and Brett Favre, lets prove everyone wrong on both fronts and bring Favre back for his last season and our first ever super bowl win.

Here is the link for the petition:

Also, there is a cool facebook group I found which I have signed up for as well

Thanks Purp Rain....

Now we need to get the word out on absolutely every venue possible….facebook and other social sites posts by each of us, group sites (online), internet radio blogs, and yes through DN, yahoo sports page (can happen if Gonzo and Head Shed make the post and it is added to the yahoo site)….

The thing is with our actions we fans can make a definite difference…this is an example of where we can show Favre and the Vikings that (1) we want him to return, and (2) we believe in them and what they can do….Let’s all not just bitch and moan and Monday morning QB here, let’s DO something!!!!

SKOL VIKINGS!!!!!

I would rather be IN the Arena than watching from the stands...That is my life!

I am going now to sign.....

Can someone put together a postcard size we want Favre back PLEASE note that can be printed off from a dowloadable file for folks who want to mail them in???? This would have to be a two-sided form that folks could fold and staple or paste and stick a stamp on….

Another thing nice would be to get some evidence that these then are being received at the address indicated – maybe some pics or an interview with whoever gets them in the front office…and posting here a story and pics …..

I would be willing also to arrange for printed t-shirts and caps (I use several sources for these items as marketing materials for my energy drink) if that is a directions we want to go….Since is not really NFL we are talking here, rather one for DN and one for Favre – i.e. “Favre – One More Year and Super Bowl II” or some other more fitting statement ….

Guess what I am advocating is action not words…..Already am seeing that we DN fans are getting stirred up….Maybe through connections we each have we can get the Viking nation stirred up, and all those supporters who want to see this happen……GO VIKES!!!!

SKOL!!!

I have added the widget for the petition to my tagged site....

Will do the same for my facebook, myspace, multiply, friendster, and see on the yahoo page (not sure on this one) sites….

Although many of these are shall we say dated, they are still active so people will see as they peruse….I urge each of us to do the same…..

I think we can get more than 10k PR, I think 20 – 30k is reasonable/doable…let’s set the bar high for this, no f&^kin’ around…Favre needs to know we want him back!!!!!

I think if each person who signs can in some way get at least 3 or 4 other people to sign, we can definitely get this petition filled up. I’ve been trying to get the message out on espn.com and some other sports blogs.

Idea for the T-shirt or maybe just for fun in a different reason

Make a T-shirt stating… Or something of the like

“2010 Should-be NFC Champions” or something like that.
A t-shirt basically stating we were the better team…
Small print could read REFs decided we were not the better team..

Signed and Added

Great idea, let’s post these links on as many other blogs and Viking newspaper columns as we can find. Spread it around, get the word out so that hopefully, Favre hears about it and realizes that despite how the season ended, we want him back.

Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
SKOL!

confused about petition

so like only 115 people have signed petition, but it looks like over 10,000 have signed up for the facebook bring back favre page…..I’m no geek, so can someone figure out how to translate those 10,000 (minus the trolls that are in that number and have posted) onto a petition?

no, didn't hear about it

But if that was recently, he’s probably retiring. What a great career.

It was recently...

But it means absolutely nothing. First, Favre’s not that stupid. Second NFL players, usually will move back home during the offseason.

No worries

I wouldn’t read into the moving van deal at all. Its more likely than not that when Favre moved to Minnesota during the season that he brought a lot of his personal belongings. Its no secret that between seasons Favre likes to stay down in Mississippi, he was probably just bringing his stuff with him.

As for the petition, close to breaking 200 signatures right now, hopefully before the night is through we will have even more. Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can publicize this?

an idea

A catchy youtube video might be a way to bump up traffic to the petition too. Does anybody here know how to compile a quick video?
