Vikings are secondary on Roski's Hit List
We've hashed over the issue of the Vikings and a new stadium a lot, but I came across this article which seems to have a bit more hard info on what's happening on the Los Angeles side of the question.
One of the issues this answers is where the Vikings are on the 'hit list'. It's with some relief to find out that the Jags and the Bills are the prime targets, but that doesn't mean that the Vikings are out of the question. As we thought, the primary issue is whether or not the team can fill it's venue and make it's share of the revenues. Both the Jags and the Bills owners claim that they have no intention of moving, but at the end of the day, we know that money talks loudest.
Here's the money-shot;
Semcken said Majestic won’t approach the 49ers, Chargers or Vikings as long as they are seeking stadium plans of their own. He said it would not be fair to interfere with their efforts to remain in their home markets.
I think it's nice that they want to be 'fair' about it, but I wouldn't count on that holding if the Vikings don't get a stadium deal knocked out soon. Based on the expiration of the existing lease and the lead time to build a new stadium, Minnesota is already in an untenable position where interim solutions will be necessary, which complicates any resolution.
Minnesotans need to put the pressure on their reps to make them seek a deal to ensure the Vikings stay out of the move picture, this is no time to be timid or to assume that the other guy will take care of business for you.

Remember, Roski is building a two-car garage out here, and he is not saying which two cars he’d prefer to see parked in it. He’s just saying that as long as Zygi still has hopes of getting a new garage of his own, he isn’t going carjacking. Ed has lawyers, and they recommend to him which things he should avoid saying.
This is California, and Jay Leno has 250 cars.
My take on this
is that Roski wants to own the team, Wilf also wants to own a team. Wilf isn’t ready to step down from the Vikes, it’s hard as hell to get back in. So I would see Wilf moving us to Oklahoma before he headed out to LA. In the same vein I think the NFL itself may pressure Jacksonville to move. They are seriously hurting for fans in a state that already has two mediocre NFL teams and a lot of very good college teams. I have a friend who works radio down in Jacksonville and he was telling me how they have stacks of tickets to the games that they pretty much give away to people who walk in. I think he said they keep them on the receptionists desk…
Mother bear syndrome
Although its pleasing to hear things like this, it still makes my blood boil to hear the name Roski even mentioned. Though he’s stated that the Vikings are a little farther down his list, I’m still not got to invite him over to my house for supper. Regardless of how he words it, he is a direct threat to one of my most valued possesions and I don’t trust him one bit. I may become irrational if he ever did start mentioning the Vikings in the conversation.
