Time to Panic?

Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country.

John F. Kennedy

We are sitting at 1-3 at the moment. We hold the NFCs 4th worst record. Brett Favre is in shambles. But you know what, Im not panicking, and neither should you.

First and Foremost, I dont care what you say, this is a team that was a Nafahu Tahi penalty away from going to the superbowl last year. This team may be the most talented in the league. We are a top 3 team when we're on top of our game.

Second, Adrian Peterson is having his best season of his career, statistically and figuratively.

2007 First 4 Games-

76 carries, for 383 yards, an average of 5.0 yards a carry. He had 2 touchdowns and 1 fumble.

2008 First 4 Games-

83 carries, for 420 yards, an average of 5.0 yards a carry. He had 3 touchdowns and 1 fumble.

2009 First 4 Games-

84 carries, for 412 yards, an average of 4.9 yards a carry. He had 5 touchdowns and 2 fumbles.

2010 First 4 Games-

88 carries, for 480 yards, an average of 5.5 yards a carry. He has 3 touchdowns and 0 fumbles.

Petersons been criticized before for having huge runs that have skewed his APC, in other words a FEAST or famine runner. This year Adrian Peterson has 2, thats right TWO runs of over 30 yards. And even if you take those two runs out of his total numbers, he would still average 4.2 YPC. Hes also been criticized for fumbles. Did you know that Adrian Peterson is tied with ME for least amount of fumbles. And I dont even play in the NFL, thats how great hes been so far. Adrian Peterson has been everything the Vikings have needed and more. Hes the clear MVP of this league along with Peyton Manning. We are watching one of the most Electrifying backs in the History of the NFL, be grateful.

Third, We played the Super Bowl Champion, The AFC Runner up, and The AFC East Division Winning 3rd Seed from two years ago. And we lost by a total of 18 points in three games combined. And those numbers are skewed by the Pick 6 from NYJ and us really not trying to score when we got the ball back. We've played two good teams, and one superbowl contender. And lost by a total of 18 points. In comparison the Bears almost lost by that much against the Giants. That leads me into my next point.

Fourth, the division we play in. The Bears have the best record in the NFC at a 4-1 record, but lets see who've they've beaten.

-The Lions... Who are 1-4.... At Home.... With the Lions being without Matt Stafford... And with HUGE ref help... and they won by 5...

- The Cowboys... Who are 1-3... When the Cowboys had a chance to tie the game, but shanked a 44 yarder... And won by 7...

-The Packers (A good win)... Packers had 1028 penaltys... Devin Hester had his first meaningful game since the Superbowl... and they won by a field goal.

-The Panthers... With Jimmy Two Small Hands Clausen... And are 0-5.

These are 4 very unimpressive wins, with really only the Packers as somewhat impressive. Lemme know how they're doing after they get done with the Vikings, Dolphins, and Eagles in consecutive weeks, and then skip a week and they get the Patriots, Vikings, Jets, and Packers. If the Bears have a winning record at the end of the year, I will be shocked.

The Packers are 3-2 with wins against

- The Eagles. A very good win on the Road

- The Bills, another good win.

- And the Lions... By two.... At Home.... Not a good win at all.

They've also lost to the Skins and Bears. And they have an injury report (with their star QB at the top with a concussion) as long as Brett Favres voicemails to Jenn Sterger... ZING.  Not to worried about the Packers.

The Lions. Well they're playing for a top 5 draft pick.

Fitfh, our schedule gets easier, while the Bears and Packers get harder, While we have 3 more hard games in a row with the Cowboys, Packers and the Patriots, the Packers have 6 in a row: The Dolphins, The Vikings, At The Jets, The Cowboys, At the Vikings and At the Falcons. I noted above the Bears upcoming schedule,

Lemme know how they're doing after they get done with the Vikings, Dolphins, and Eagles in consecutive weeks, and then skip a week and they get the Patriots, Vikings, Jets, and Packers.

And Finally the NFC is wide open. With the Falcons as the only team that looks like a playoff contender right now. Every other team has problems and will falter sooner or later.

So Vikings fans, quit asking what our team can do for us and why we suck so much, and ask yourselves why you're not supporting them in the way you should and looking at the cup half full instead of half empty.
