I don't entirely agree that Favre looked "better"
I’m still a huge Favre fan and believer, but the best that he did was not toss an INT, other than that, he still looked a bit inaccurate and shaky at times (but in all fairness, much of that was down to the O-line’s inconsistent play, too, imho)…
See what happens when we just get points in the first half?
Even a FG would of helped us in so many games this year. We get early points, and WE have the lead at the end of the game, not the other teams.
ps. Moss, you get your nice pass this game, and miss. You better not pout that you didn’t get any looks ;)

To some extent
I wouldn’t say that they’re fully back in the hunt yet – they need to win the Packer game, THEN we can really start feeling like things are back on track. Just my opinion, though.

A win but still somewhat disappointing
A win is (of course) a win and we certainly needed this one but it’s hard to be too incredibly enthused about it, for a few reasons:
1. O-line still looking suspect at times
2. Near fumble by Adrian (supposedly it was chalked up to Favre but it looked far more like it was, in fact, AP’s fault)
3. Secondary hurting for quality players (man we need a break from these retarded injuries)
4. Favre still looking shaky but I pin a bunch of that on an inconsistent O-line as much as on him.
5. Moss didn’t have the scoring impact I’d hoped he would this game
6. We still leave WAY, WAY too many potential Interceptions out on the field…could’ve had at least 2-3 more this game that we should have had.
Some bright spots:
1. GREAT open-field tackles and tackling in general, this game
3. We won!
4. No real injuries to speak of, thankfully
5. Less penalties
6. Did better in the Red Zone.
7. Percy, Percy, PERCY’s Kick-off return TD…so smooth, so sweet, baby.
8. Defense in general did great, for the most part, really, despite the 3 TDs
Hope for the future and based on the past several Packer’s games, we should have a strong chance to win that game. It’s just as crucial as this one – wish it was at home, though, first. SKOL VIKINGS!!
re: negatives 5 & 6
Moss had a TD in his hands along with another 20-30 yards. Didn’t come down with it, but he does 9/10. For his second game, he’s producing better than most of our other WRs.
Potential INTs? Welcome to years now. Whoever coaches those guys should teach them how to catch a football.

You raise fair points here, loldotcom (interesting name, that one)…Moss SHOULD have had that TD catch, I’m bummed that he didn’t bring it in. :( But yeah, about the lack of INTs, they need to start taking that crap seriously. Think of just how many games we could’ve straight-up put away earlier had we actually completed catching the Interception that we could have had. Ugh. Last year that happened ALL the time, it was frustrating then, and it’s still frustrating now. \:(
That being said, we DO seem to be improving at it this year, as we do actually have some real INTs to our name, at least!

I have liked the way the defense has been able to make adjustments at the half.
In the first half they were getting burned on the screens and kind of getting run over, then in the second half they came out and took care of business in regards to those things.
Hopefully our offense can start doing the same things, soon.

Well, I think it's apparent that the Vikings have the best team in the division...
… though that may be like saying you’re the least stinky turd in a big pile of turds. The Bears are a fraud, the Packers are playing third stringers or worse at a half dozen positions and not playing all that well even where the regular guys are still around, and the Lions are better, but are still two years away from being a playoff team.
What a lousy division. I’m not sure we’re entitled to rip on the NFC West anymore.
