"I don't know. That's just all reports. Ain't no names. That's Sean Jensen. So that's what Sean Jensen do. He ain't going to give nobody no names. So I really don't pay no attention to that. That's all he-say, she-say stuff. He ain't going to put no names put out there, so I don't know if it' true or not. That's like somebody say I'm gay, but they don't have to tell me who said it. I don't know. But they're going to believe it. They going to believe it. If somebody starts that rumor, they're going to believe it. So that's how it is. That's all rumor. They not going to tell me who said it, so I don't know."
The always eloquent Pat Williams, speaking to Mark Craig of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune about Chicago Tribune (and former St. Paul Pioneer Press) writer Sean Jensen's recent article that features numerous "unnamed sources" on the Vikings bad-mouthing Vikings' coach Brad Childress.

And even if he was
Seriously. . .what the hell would anyone be able to do about it?
“Hey, you, the big dude that weighs about 350 pounds and looks like he could bench press my car. . .why don’t you stop being gay, huh?”
Yeah. . .sounds like a good way to get yourself perished.

You didn't even have to cite that quote.
Anyone who’s ever followed the Vikings in the past 5 years knows full well that said words came directly from the buffet gobbling mouth of our own beloved Phat Pat.

Pat Williams is the MAN!
There’s a great quote further along in the article, after being asked about Chester Taylor, PW bluntly states “I don’t care about no Chester … at the end of the day, I hope he’s doing bad”
great stuff from a member of the WWC

The whole thing about "they" talking about Childress is complete BS.
Also, it does not even matter if those supposed players like him or not (makes me think of Coughlin) as long as the Vikings give great effort and find ways to win more than they lose. The effort has been there, just need to win more of the close ones like last week.
"Wally: [going home in a taxicab] I treated myself to a taxi. I rode home through the city streets. There wasn't a street, there wasn't a building, that wasn't connected to some memory in my mind. There, I was buying a suit with my father. There, I was having an ice cream soda after school. And when I finally came in, Debbie was home from work, and I told her everything about my dinner with Andre."
From the movie "My Dinner with Andre"
I've always tried to follow PW
I think he is one of the few Vikings who stays back in MN and lives here year-round.
If I am correct? I am not sure.. I do believe he lives in Shakopee…
My mom has actually met him, but I have yet to personally meet any Vikings players.
He is from south (LA, I think) but he has openly admitted that he hates it down there and stays here come cold or...ultra cold.
I don't think Pat gets cold
He’s built for this weather.
No one is getting Rubio's rights unless they pry them from our cold dead fingers.

I have read him..
Stating he hates his home state…
I know he has a house....
In the Wilds in Prior Lake. My sis-in-law’s boyfriend lives by him.

I thought it was Shakopee.
But, somewhat close enough.. Maybe at one point he lived in Shak, but, who knows.
My mom had sold him some furniture….. Basically a bedroom set & mattress.
So if PW ever states he is having back-pains from not sleeping good at night, don’t come yelling at me!
I believed this story
until I saw the words “Chicago Sun-Tribune”, I then decided it was, at the very least, 75% pure Chicago BS

Pat Williams is a boss.
1 of my all-time favorite Vikes just because of the things he says and the fact that he still gives me hope that I can play football just by being huge!
I'm still a Minnesotan at heart...
He's from Monroe, La
Or the “’roe” as I like to call it. Big Pat went to Wossman HS which is maybe two miles from where I live on south 165. It’s not so bad other than all the damn who-dats. Saw a kid with a favre jersey though today, good omen methinks??

PW just blew a scum bag reporter
outa the water. Remember, the Vikings have enemies in GB, Chicago, and NY who would love to see the Vikings and/or Brett Favre fail. Don’t believe everything you read or hear.
Can one of you smart people figure out
why Mr. Jensen left St. Paul? Did he get fired and has beef with minny?
Don't believe anything you hear & only half you see & you'll be allright.
Yes you can quote me on that. P.W. is the man & a half.
Chilly has brought this all on himself
I am not saying I believe Jensen but it don’t bother me one way or the other.
Childress has pulled some insensitive (nasty) stuff on players so turnabout is fair play IMO.
You reap what you sow.
PWill is keeping it real!
Allen spoke up too.
Hmmm …. high priced vets calling out some other dudes for being weenies.
That is easy to do since their jobs are safe. The younger dudes may not have jobs for long and cannot risk it.
PWill is probably done after this year and he damn sure ain’t getting no 4 mil next year to play about 50% of the snaps. Combine that with the run D not being as good as it was before (not saying it is all on him) and he is as good as gone.
Time to get Guion & Evans & Kennedy more snaps too.
Allen could be traded for a high draft pick and Edwards could get paid instead. This is actually one of my draft scenarios for next year. Go ahead and bash away. It is only an idea even if it may seem bad. Allen is set to make 9 mil next year, 11 mil in 2012, & 14 mil in 2013. Anyone who thinks he is going to get all of that has another thought coming.
So do you get value for him now or wait until his value diminishes?
Combine that with the fact that Childress blew a 3rd round pick on Moss and the Vikings may be looking to get more picks. Chilly has final say on personnel so it falls on him IMO.
All I am saying is I like PWill and how he talks about opponents. This drama in the locker room is all created by Chilly. He gets what he deserves. Some cats like him and some cats do not.
All I know is that they better win games or Chilly could be on the outside looking in.
All the talk is just talk. Time to walk the walk.
Nasty?
I can think of the Marcus Robinson (cut on Christmas eve) and Troy Williamson (funeral). situations— what else?

He asked
Bobby Wade to re-structure his contract (ie a cut in pay) to remain with the team. He did, and they cut him anyway less than a week later.

Forgot about that one.
Brad liked Bobby Wade though and with Percy on the roster Wade recognized he was in for a reduced role and took the paycut. Greg Lewis was deemed a better bench option because of Berrian’s hamstring. Once these things are decided it’s best for all parties to act quickly.
The timing looked bad on that one but I don’t think it was a nasty move.

I was going to list these incidents but I figured people knew
I do not condone the talking about the coach behind his back but if you are not set financially (Allen) or going to retire (PWill) then it is not a very smart move to have your name attached to some quotes.
Especially when it seems like Chilly is a bit vindictive. I could be wrong about that though.
I do not mind these reports. It keeps the reports off of the team’s real struggles.
It lets players “circle the wagons” or whatever and try and pull this thing out.
The next two weeks are HUGE!
They need to win both of these games.
Both are division games and any loss could seal their fate.
I think it is a perfect scenario as far as judging Chilly’s learning from his past mistakes. Specifically, is he going to pay very close attention to Peppers.
He better or Favre may not make it through the game.
Pat Williams is a throwback....
he would have gelled nicely with the Vikings D line of the early 70s.
