We need a new quarterback.
We need a new head coach.
Brett Favre isnt the answer. he never was, only for a year. we could have used that year to develop a new quarterback. one that we could have drafted last year, like maybe a second-rounder with first round potential, like this years Colt McCoy or Jimmy Claussen. McCoy is accually doing good for the Browns, but Claussen hasnt been the best because, like T-Jack, he was forced into the starting role early in his career, before he could develop. Joe Webb isnt the answer for next year either. Its time to draft a first round quarterback with the early pick that i know we are going to get. i dont follow college football so i dont know the big names that are out there. Post some thoughts of some names that are said a lot in college if you would like.
Leslie Frazier should take over as the head coach. i would like to see him here for a couple of years. The Vikings players think that he would be a good head coach for some team? Why not for us. People think that he would do good and some think he would make things worse. i think that he has one thing that Brad Childress doesnt have: Trust. The players trust Frazier. That's what makes me think that the Vikings would do better with him as the coach. they may not win every game, but they will trust Frazier that they can get back out there and win. Leslie should be the coach.
Things should happen right now. Fire Brad Childress, Get rid of Favre, sign some free agents that we need for the years coming (Chad Greenway, Sidney Rice...), sign players for longer contracts (AP), and get rid of some players that are just clogging the depth chart (Madieu Williams, Bernard Berrian...). Hopefully next year we can start from scratch and do what the Patriots are doing: get young players on the team that show potential.
Things should take place now that the season is over for us.
