Herrera Done For Year With Torn ACL; Berrian Hurt Again
The Vikings have lost guard Anthony Herrera for the rest of the season with a torn ACL in his left knee.
Bernard Berrian, who has been stealing paychecks from the Wilf family for the last year and a half, played a whopping one whole series for the Vikings before "re-aggravating" his "groin." This team can't cut that guy soon enough for my liking.

HAVE ANY OF YOU HAD A GROIN INJURY BEFORE?
If it’s bad enough, it’s nearly impossible to run with, and it lingers. Don’t ever hate on a guy for injuries. It makes me sick.
I'm still a Minnesotan at heart...
I have
It’s not fun. Now, I think the “hate” you speak of is not because of the injury. It is because of the last year and a half of half-assed play we have watched from this guy. Continual dropped passes usually aren’t a good thing for a receiver. Watching an interception and allowing the defender to get up and run while you turn and look for a flag as the defender runs away is another thing you don’t want to see from your receiver. I could go on, but I’m watching the Giants-Eagles game and don’t want to sit here typing until midnight.
What he said.
We pay him a TON, and he does not produce.
It's hard for me to feel sympathy
For crying out loud, Percy Harvin’s legs are being held together by scotch tape and chicken wire, and this guy has been put on the active roster each of the last two weeks, yet has only played two or three more snaps than I have.
We’ve had Hank Baskett inactive both of the last two weeks. . .boy howdy, it would have been nice to have him available rather than wasting a spot on Berrian.

I agree with the sentiments on Berrian but you do not cut him yet
He is guaranteed his salary for this year anyway.
He still MAY have some value to some team come draft day next year.
If I could get a 5th or 6th round pick for him then it would be worth it.
There are plenty of teams that need WRs and they are not going to get all that they need via the draft or free agency.
and to think i remember
when the vikings snatched him out of chicago i was annoyed that halas hall didn’t try to match that crazy offer. in retrospect of course it was more than ok to let him walk.

BB
There’s been something about that guy that has always bothered me…
Maybe it is his injuries that prevent him from playing..
Maybe it is his early season drop passes
or his expensive contract…
It’ll be nice to see him part ways w/ the Vikings.. I won’t drop a tear.
Agree
We also need to get rid of Greg Lewis. I am tired of these second rate players dropping balls.
