Who to root for?

Now that the Vikings season is essentially over, who should I root for now?

Below are a list of the teams that I might root for to win the Super Bowl this year.  I'm leaning toward New Orleans and Philadelphia, but you can help me choose which one I should pick...

I'll say this - whichever team wins this poll I will root for, but only the rest of this year.  Next year, it's back to Minnesota again.  (I'm not a bandwagon fan, but it's only Thanksgiving, and I want to invest my heart in some meaningful football the rest of this year.)

Poll
Who should mjmrad root for the remainder of the season (PS - I left off the NFC North teams on purpose)?
St. Louis - Man, that Bradford sure can throw
5 votes
Seattle - I live in Oregon, so it is the closest "home" team
1 votes
New Orleans - Man why couldn't they have had their "magical" season this year instead of last
6 votes
Tampa Bay - they're an underdog with an impressive record so far
13 votes
Atlanta - I wonder what Matt Ryan would look like with a mustache
4 votes
NY Giants - Eli Manning, a great running back, a great defense - almost reminds me too much of last year
2 votes
Philadelphia - Michael Vick - wow, if only we could get a Vick clone to put on Tavaris Jackson's uniform
20 votes
Oakland - Aren't they due for a good season?
6 votes
San Diego - It's warm there - be a nice place to wait it out until next season
2 votes
Kansas City - I drove through there once, and I couldn't find anything to do
4 votes
Indianapolis - It's never a bad thing to root for Peyton Manning, especially when he makes something out of nothing/injuries
1 votes
Jacksonville - Reminds me a lot of another team that's looking like they might move :(
0 votes
Tennessee - Randy Moss, where are you? We miss you!
4 votes
New England - Belichick, the coach everyone covets
9 votes
NY Jets - ummmm, I don't know if I could root for a NY team

Doesn't really matter. Just go root for one of them. Any of them.

And don’t let the door hit your ass on the way out. C-ya! :)

Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!

I did'nt see Packers either (understandable)

But I’m an NFC man I don’t like the AFC teams except when they play Dallas. I would root for the under dog myself Tampa Bay or Atlanta because they haven’t won a Superbowl

No Vikings on there?

I dont care, I will still root for this damn team. I cant not watch them, it’d be like not taking a piss in the morning… I’d feel like I’m missing something.

But after the Vikings Ive always been an Eagles fan because of McNabb and Vick used to be my favorite player before the Dog Scandal and with him there I love me some Eagles.

What you just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your entire rambling incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Much like Slim Pickens

I’ll ride this sucker down till the season is over.

I may watch the Superbowl, but couldn’t careless who wins, well, as long as it isn’t the Steelers or Cowboys.

The Battle For The Basement

Looks like the Lions and Vikings will battle for last place in the NFC North. Maybe both will lose. Oh well, another season down the drain. This reminds me of my last time in Minneapolis when the I-35 bridge collaped!

shouldnt you root for the vikings still?

dont want NE to get too high of a pick in the 3rd round do you?

I was surprised to even see them on the list on this site!

I will root for the team that wins the North.

Here’s the way I look at it. If we think our competition in the division sucks, that means we suck even worse. Let’s just say Green Bay makes it to the Super Bowl. That means we got beat twice by a good team and we don’t look so bad. Make sense?

It will be hard to support Chicago though. There’s something about that Cutler guy that rubs me the wrong way. Maybe I need to see an interview with him to become enlightened.

Want to see the Eagles do well

It has nothing to do with Vick but that i have a good friend that was a UDFA and is now playing on ST and is #2 RT. his name is Austin Howard. look for him he is looking good for a rook.
cant wait to see how he develops.

You should have put whoever plays the packers as an option.

I’d say Tampa Bay. My brother and I were talking about something similar last night…We said “Who would you cheer for if the Vikings moved to LA?”. Came to the conclusion I’d be a Lions fan, a up and coming team and we’d probably get to see them on TV here in Minnesota. Just couldn’t be a Vikings fan if they were in LA. It’d be like cheering for the Lakers. Lets just pray we get a new stadium.
