Believe it or not but
The Vikes are still in the Playoff hunt and could be smack dab in the middle of it and if you look at the Schedules of Packers and Bears a hmmm moment.
Lets look at the Packers first, they play in order
ATL,49ers,DET,NE,GIANTS and the Bears only 1 is a sure gimmie which is the 49ers,if DET plays like they did against NE it could be an upset.ATL,NE,GIANTS,BEARS, the Pack is going to have to work for those wins any of those Teams can go on a roll.I see the Pack splitting this and going 10-6.
Bears play in order
PHILLY,DET,NE,VIKES,JETS,GB hate say this but if Vikes dont show an improvement they are the only gimme in the bunch.Bears are looking at a 9-7 season unless the Vikes hand them a loss.
Vikings play in order
WASH,BUFF,GIANTS,BEARS,PHILLY,DET we dont have a gimmie in the bunch if we play like we have forget it,but if we play like we can this is a very do able schedule theres not a Team we cant beat.We have the Talent to pull this off,but does the Team have the desire to put forth the effort.A coaching change might be the Ticket we need, maybe not who knows but it would be sweet see the Vikes turn it around.

Tell you what
I will start to believe the Vikings playoff hopes when they beat a team that isn’t awful this year. Or I will also believe once they retire two opponents in a row.
I’m not trying to be a dick or a troll here, but the reality of this team is that it’s probably not a playoff hopeful. Really I think this week is going to be a defining week for all of the NFC North teams. Detroit showed us that they are still the Lions. They’ve gotten better, but the franchise doesn’t know how to close out a game. Green Bay and Chicago will both have tough games that will go a long way to show whether each team is a true contender or pretender. The Vikes have pissed away most of their last chance games so far, but if they can come out and pull one away on the road they can keep the playoffs alive and possibly make some noise down the stretch.
All that said though, in November a football team shows you what it truly is for the year. The contenders get hot and pull away, those that will be out of the playoffs falter a bit. The Vikes can have a promising future, but this year looks like it has passed.
sorry PA I still have to belive in my team right!!!!

Not trying to make you give up on your team
Just redefining success for this season in light of the facts on the ground. Viking fans can still have plenty of hopes for this team in light of their current situation. There can be development of new players, winning key rivalry games, getting a good record, watching AP run like the beast he is, things like that.
The playoffs however are a distant dream unless many miracles happen over the next few weeks.

I've said this before
but I’ll say it again
while it is technically “possible”, it’s highly unlikely
It would take a Detroit Tigers-esque collapse by both Chicago and Green Bay, and a 2007 Colorado Rockies from the Vikings

even if we win out
I am almost 100% sure we will still need help and things to go our way.
We aren’t going to win our division, that’s for sure, but yeah we are still alive. Hell they say the rams have a shot at 4 and 6 so anything is possible but I think at his point we basically need the top teams to pull away and let the weaker teams fight it out.

anything goes at this point
I have to believe the Vikes can turn this around, can they win out,yea they can but will take a whole Team effort. I think theres an end to the Sterger thing so Favres head is in the game,Chilly has hit the highway so I think the tension is way down,I see the Vikes coming out and playing ball loose and cocky. We need some breaks our way for sure, but now is the time we back our Team not give up on them.
Its real easy give up the Season when we are losing, dont remember too many complaints last year, but nows the time toe the line be a real fan and root when things aint going our way.It aint the way I seen the Season in Aug but they play 6 more games least we can do is be there, those of us still got heart can believe the Season isnt shot.
Any given Sunday, anything can happen, any Team can win or lose nothing is set in stone what worked last week wont work this week.
I believe Sunday starts our play off run, win or go home.
Damn speed you got that right preach on brother!!!

All or Nothing
That’s what I want for the 2010 Vikings. Go all the way, or lose every remaining game.
Winning is self-explanatory. Losing it all gets us a top seed in the draft and a hot new QB.
Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
SKOL!
Let's remember people...
This is the Vikings we are talking about.
It is more feasible that we would win out, only to get knocked out of the playoff hunt in week 17 by one of the other wild card contenders.
As long as they keep playing hard and keep having fun while doing it...
At least we will enjoy watching our team. Rest might not be in our hands anyway.
